Chapter 329 - Hope You Recognize Me Then!

In her bedroom, Ji was unwrapping the gift box which Ye Qian had gifted her 6 years ago.

Up till now, she had never had the will to open it since she was satisfied with just the fact that Ye Qian cared for her.

But today something happened which made her interest peak and she was not able to control herself from opening the gift.

She had opened the wrapper and now there was just a simple wooden box made of wood and there was a simple design of lotus flower engraved on it.

Though it didn't appear to be too expensive, it still seemed to be made with much care and love.

"Could it be that he made it this by himself?"

She mumbled lightly and caressed the engraving on the box which looked elegant and dazzling.

A simple smile appeared on her lips and she opened the small lock on it.

The lock was also made of wood and had a basic mechanism but it really looked beautiful on the box.

It seemed as if it was just a carving and not a lock if one were to look at it.

As soon as she intended her index finger she suddenly stopped and shook her head.

"Let it be, it's not like he gave me this just so that I could keep it without any use."

At first, her heart felt that she shouldn't open the box but later thinking of how Ye Qian could have got the gift back when he was worried about her Big Sister, but he still remembered to give it to her then there might be something special for him to give to her.

"Hmm."

Now the birds which had come at her balcony had also started to fly into her bedroom and had landed on various places of her bead and furniture.

But all of them started at the small wooden box which Ji was holding in her hand and was about to open it.

"CLICK"

"GRRR"

While opening the box the hinges seemed to make some creaking noises as it was not opened for so long.

"GRRR"

Not wanting to break the box which Ye Qian would have made with great effort, Ji carefully opened it as to not damage it even in the slightest.

It was not just because the box was made by Ye Qian that Ji was opening it with great care.

She just didn't want to damage such a beautifully carved box in excitement.

"KAKCK"

"Hufff"

At the final point, the box made a breaking sound but Ji heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that there was nothing wrong with the box.

"It feels like that the box has locked after opening it completely, I was getting worried for nothing."

After checking that there was nothing wrong with the box, Ji's sight landed on the small compartment inside the box.

There was a silk cloth that was wrapping something.

The silk cloth was of golden colour and seemed to be of fine quality with all her experience.

"Hmm, this is a high-grade silk."

Her brows raised and she carefully started to unwrap the silk.

The next moment she saw something which was nothing other than a simple chain locket.

Though the chain was made of silver and appeared to be not much expensive, Ji's attention was not grabbed by the chain but the locket itself.

There was a small piece of stone which was blue in colour.

"What is this?"

She carefully took the chain off the box and stared at the gem like stone.

She had seen many gemstones and special rocks by now starting from diamond to some energy stones which were very rare and even her family struggled hard to obtain a few.

But of all the gems which their family had, none of it gave a similar feeling to that of this one.

She caught the gen in her fingers and a faint light started to glow from within the gemstone.

If at first, the stone looked shabby and dark, now it was shining with a different hue and even its colour seemed to have lightened and was just like that of Water.

"What is this?"

As she mumbled there was a faint vibration in the stone and she felt a warm current entering her body through her fingers and to her whole body.

At first, she was afraid of the sudden vibration of the stone.

But after she felt started to feel better she was even more excited about it.

"Ahhh, this feels so nice."

After a few minutes of enjoying the ecstatic sensation that she was feeling, Ji opened her eyes and felt that the surrounding around her seemed to be awfully quiet and silent.

She looked around to see that all the birds which were in her bedroom now were silent and had their eyes closed.

"Are they all sleeping?"

With raised brows, Ji wondered, this phenomenon was really weird.

How would all the birds which were chirping and flying just a moment ago before she opened the box were not completely silent and even seemed to have changed a bit?

She was not able to clearly point what it was but there was something different about all of them.

"They are really different!"

She then turned back to the small chain which she held in her fingers.

"This is something that would surely make anyone fight for. How would Qian get such a thing?"

She turned to the window and wondered.

She got up from the bed carefully since she felt that all the birds were sleeping and walked to the balcony.

"At least now I know that you are fine."

"I will try to meet you someday; hope you remember me."

Ji mumbled while holding the chain close to her heart as a warm smile appeared on her lips.

"Maybe, someday you will know that I also loved you, but that would not change anything."

She thought and a small tear dripped down her cheeks.
