Chapter 320 - A Bond Out Of Everyone's Imagination

Ye Qian didn't ponder over those faces as he was shared for a different reason.

Today was his friend's birthday and he didn't want to make some trouble right on this day.

Hearing her cousin's question, Ji's face completely changed from that of a docile cat to that like a lioness.

"Yes, cousin, I was waiting for my Big Sister and friend."

Unknowing to her she had said something which made Yuan Meng's face filled with worry as she looked at Ye Qian with the corner of her eyes but noticed that he didn't seem to have found something weird in it and was smiling at her and Ji.

"Ufff."

She sighed in relief and held his hand tightly while giving him a bright smile.

"Ohh!"

At first, Ji's cousin seemed to be displeased but later his lips curved and he nodded while continuing.

"Now that they have come, shouldn't you cut the cake already, see many are waiting."

Yuan Meng and Ji were both a bit shocked while Yuan Meng quickly changed her expressions back to normal as if she was completely unaware of the ongoing things and said with a broad smile.

"So, Ji made all of the revered guests wait just for us."

"How sweet of you?"

Her eyes turned crescent as she understood that it was simply her habit of celebrating her birthday with her or she would not feel good.

She felt warm in her heart.

Since they were small the two were very close just like real sisters and not like cousins and even Ji's mother treated Yuan Meng just like her daughter every time.

"Hmm."

Ji nodded and pulled Yuan Meng's hand off her head and started to walk to the center of the table where the cake was placed.

This time people made way for them since they had seen how unruly the birthday girl was just a few moments ago.

But they didn't think that it was wrong of her to act that way.

Usually, the girls with great backgrounds would be spoiled by their parents a lot and they would be unbridled and would act as they wish it for, so one felt that something was amiss when she waited for the beautiful girl and her boyfriend.

But they only felt envious of the two, if Ji waited to celebrate her birthday just in order to wait for the arrival of these two then their friendship would be very close.

Many of the young masters were glaring at Ye Qian with red eyes since they were trying to fawn in order to get close to Ji but it was like she had kept herself surrounded by a large wall which no one was bel to break apart.

And how could they since she already had someone in her heart and could care not even in the least for them?

But even she was not completely clear if she was into that person or it was just some attraction.

With the green eyes, many men started at Ye Qian and Yuan Meng, clearly jealous of the lovely couple.

They both were of the same age and seemed to be deeply in love with each other.

But none would be able to believe that they had just started their relationship just a month ago.

It was like their relationship was based on a completely different path which no one had ever been able to see or even feel until now.

It was like there was a different bond between the two and no one would be able to break them apart.

Not even death.

Ji had pulled Yuan Meng and Ye Qian towards the center of the hall and the place had started to be lively again but there were a few scornful laughs and comments but she completely ignored them and with a bright smile blew the candles over the cake.

All of them clapped and wished Ji for her birthday again while there were many of the people who were walking to her one by one while holding some of the other gift boxes in their hands.

Many of them seemed to be big while some appeared like some jewelry boxes.

But Ji was already busy with her happiness to celebrate her birthday with her Big Sister that she didn't even glance at the few big shots of the city coming to her with gifts.

"Here have some please."

With her puppy eyes, she brought a big piece of cake to Yuan Meng and Ye Qian.

Of course, they smiled at each other wryly and would never have the heart to reject her seeing her please and eating it but this made the other even more displeased.

After seeing that she was not going to pay any attention the three of them heard a frown as if someone was quite angry at them for ignoring the people waiting for so long just to gift Ji some presents.

Ye Qian felt that someone was huffing right behind him and felt a chill. 

He didn't know why but he felt afraid of whoever was right behind them.

"AHEM"

The next moment Yuan Meng and Ji heard someone clear their throat right behind them.

The two turned around with Ye Qian with a few sweat beads on his head.

They saw a man in his 50's was standing right in front of them and his eyes seemed to have an angry expression as he tried to hide it from them but still couldn't.

"Young Miss, are you done with treating this friend of yours, there are many people waiting for a long time just to give you presents."

The middle-aged man forced a smile on his parched lips and said to Ji while ignoring Yuan Meng and Ye Qian, it was like the two didn't even exist in front of them.

Seeing his forced smile Yuan Meng's lips only curved into a smirk but didn't say anything and simply turned to Ye Qian.

"Qian'er, let's wait for them to give presents to Ji."
