Chapter 268 - Don't Be Angry With Me Little Lan!

In the middle of the road.

Ye Qian, Yu Lan and her friends stood laughing while Yu Lan held her waist and glared at the three.

"Hey, what are you laughing about?"

Yu Lan snapped at them while glaring while behind her Ye Qian's lips also curved into a smile.

"Ok, our little Lan'er has still that same small anger on the tip of her nose now, come let me get a taxi for you before you get late."

"Hmm."

Yu Lan nodded but then glared at him while pointing at his nose.

"You... you are not allowed to call me that!"

"Huh what am I not allowed to call you?"

Yu Lan was now close to tears as to why was Ye Qian bullying her so much and mumbled with a teary face.

"Big Brother finds happiness in bullying me, I will tell this to Aunt later."

Saying that Yu Lan rubbed her eyes and then walked with large steps on the road without waiting for any of them.

"Humph, I will let you know that I am not a small girl who needs you to always protect me."

She mumbled as she wiped the tears off her eyes and walked.

"Ahh, she is still the small girl back then."

Ye Qian sighed as she glanced at Yu Lan's back which was getting smaller with each step.

"Let's go."

Ye Qian said and then followed Yu Lan with the other three.

The three were astonished to see Yu Lan cry so easily, for them Yu Lan was like a mature girl who would not be wavered by anything much less when she was being courted by others.

But now she had developed tears just from getting teased by someone.

Lin and Yanran turned to each other with raised their eyebrows.

This was going to get even more hard for Yu Lan now.

That was what they thought while looking at Ye Qian who had also started to follow her.

In the end, the two could only sigh and follow them.

Mei also did the same but then stopped while turning back to the house and asked Lin and Yanran.

"Xiao Ya would be well soon right?"

She was close to her and thus cared a lot for her as well.

The two had been in the same class even before they went into the University and had been friends with each other ever since.

"Don't worry she will be fine; we went to her when she was sleeping calmly yesterday didn't we?"

Lin patted her shoulder and consoled.

She had also known that Xiao Ya and Mei were close friends and could vaguely understand how she must be feeling right now.

Mei nodded and then the image of Xiao Ya sleeping peacefully with a calm smile on her lisp appeared in front of her eyes.

Xiao Ya seemed to be having a beautiful dream when the four went to see her after Ye Qian and the two ladies brought her food to eat and she was sleeping peacefully.

Mei had not seen Xiao Ya smile for so many days and seeing her smiling even while being asleep made Mei happy.

"Get well soon, Xiao Ya, I will be waiting for you."

She mumbled while staring at Ye Qian's house.

"Don't worry she will come back in a few days just as Brother Qian said."

Yanran said with a light smile and pulled Mei.

"Come let's go or that girl would beat us next time."

She exclaimed while pointing at Yu Lan who looked no bigger than a small dot.

"Ahh yes."

Mei nodded while the three rushed.

Yu Lan arrived by the main road of the block while looking at the now empty road.

Today it was Sunday and it was still too early in the morning and so rarely anyone was out yet.

The people would come out of their homes by the afternoon to roam around or go on a trip with their families.

This was known by all and so rarely any taxi would also pass by the road so early.

"Ummm, how long till any car comes, it will be very late by the time we get there."

She mumbled while looking at the empty road.

"Hey, Lan'er wait for me already!"

Ye Qian called out after seeing Yu Lan stop.

If he wanted, he might have easily overpassed her and arrived at the main road.

But it would be too much to do.

And so all he did was some simple walking.

"Humph."

Yu Lan pouted her lips and folded her hands under her chest while looking away from him.

"Hey, little girl are you still angry with me?"

Ye Qian asked with a wry smile.

He didn't know how he should behave or what he should do, all he did was call her like the way he used to do call her a few years ago.

And the little girl also liked it after he called her like that but not it seemed like it had a completely different effect on her now.

"I am sorry."

"But don't be angry with me Little Lan."

Ye Qian sighed as his voice turned low as he spoke.

Yu Lan's body trembled after hearing him and a drop of tear fell down her cheek.

This way of calling made her remember the distant memories of her childhood when Yu Lan was only 12 years old and Ye Qian was with her and he was riding a cycle with her sitting on the back.

By mistake, Ye Qian drove his cycle in a pothole.

The two were drenched in mud and Yu Lan was also injured as her knees were hurt with her hair and clothes all messed and covered in mud.

She was also crying loudly as she held her knees.

At that time Ye Qian's lips were also bleeding and his hand bone was fractured as well.

But seeing her cry he didn't say anything and tried to console her.
