Chapter 257 - Live For A Few Days At Most

In the bedroom.

Ye Qian stared at the two ladies who had drowsy eyes but still haven't slept yet.

"You two should get some sleep now."

Ye Qian said while he pulled Yuan Meng to the bed and then made her rest her head on the pillow while covering her with the blanket.

"Hmm."

With a slight blush, Yuan Meng could only nod as she wasn't given any time to say anything and was already on the bed, under the blanket.

"Nice."

Ye Qian smiled and then walked to Ning Wei who was looking at Yuan Meng and him with a lost look in her eyes.

"Do I need to tell you that as well?"

Ye Qian's tone was stiff but Yuan Meng smiled.

Ning Wei could only nod helplessly with a wry smile.

"Hmm."

She was about to pull the blanket when Ye Qian stopped her and then gently draped it on her.

"Thank you."

Ning Wei's heart dripped with honey by his act and felt sweet.

She understood that he was just worried about them and didn't want themselves to stress out in his worry.

"Little one, you should also sleep with them."

Ye Qian then turned to the small sparrow and said lightly as to not disturb the two little girls.

"CHIP CHIP"

The little thing also chirped in a light tone as she brought her wings and covered herself with them and then sat between the two girls heads.

Ye Qian didn't know how he should make a bird sleep and could only nod for the time.

"Tomorrow I will make a small tub like pillow for her."

Yuan Meng said looking at Ye Qian who was lost in thought as to how the little bird would sleep.

"Hmm."

Ye Qian nodded while pecking her head.

"Good night."

"Hmm."

Yuan Meng nodded and covered her head with the blanket.

'Qian'er is doing such things in front of Sister Wei now.'

With a tinge of blush on her cheeks, Yuan Meng thought and closed her eyes while sleep soon engulfed her.

Ning Wei's eyes flashed with determination and she also closed her eyes and in no time everyone was sleeping with light snoring of the two little girls and whistles of the small bird.

Ye Qian carefully took light steps and walked to the door while opening it without making any sound least he would make anyone of them awake.

The day was indeed a lot tiring for all of them.

No matter it was the small sparrow or the two ladies.

Ye Qian was also a little tired and then there was still the exhaustion which was caused due to the overuse of Spiritual Energy in the factory.

With a big yawn, Ye Qian also rested his head on the sofa while sleeping after who knew how many decades.

But with each step, the man took the several meters around the area had a putrid smell like something was rotting.

The man was covered in a robe covering every part of his skin and even his head.

His clothes seemed to be from a medical era.

The man also didn't have most of his muscles and skin. 

It was like he had just walked out of a grave.

And there was no sense of direction or any other thought as it went in a single direction while smashing into many things.

But that didn't stop him, instead, the things were turned to nothingness and got decomposed when he walked to them.

If one were to remove the cloak on the body they would be shocked to see there was nothing.

His eyes were completely empty; they were only sockets while most of his hairs had also decomposed.

It sure looked like a person who had walked out of the grave after many years.

The man continued to run senselessly in the direction of the Star City.

A figure of a slight old aged man was walking with a speed which one would think inhumane.

He was jumping from one large tree to the other.

His every jump was no less than a few meters long and still, he could accurately place his next step right on the branch of the next tree.

His face was covered in many spots while a few injuries could be easily be seen on his body which didn't seem to have been healed.

Every tree he would jump onto would release a cracking sound and the birds and animals around him would quiver in fear and run away.

"COUGH"

The man coughed a lot as he had been coughing after every few minutes.

The man stared at a side while looking through the trees.

He had a dreadful aura around him as he glared in a direction.

"You just have life for a few days, then let's see how you will try to run away."

The man said in a mocking tone as he started in the direction of Shenzhen.

It was already dark and the surrounding was freezing being near to the wilderness.

But the man only had a thin robe and a bear skin wrapped around himself.
