Chapter 239 - Situation Worsened!

Ye Qian had mustered all the power he could to save the children from getting harmed, right after the explosions happened.

He knew that though nothing might ever happen to him, even if he were to stand in front of the detonators, that was not the same with the children.

If anything happened to them, it would only be because of him.

And he didn't want that to befall, no matter the cost.

Thus he used so much power which made him lose half of the level which he had recovered after coming from the World of Pridid.

But that was not all, the injury within his dantian which had somehow recovered, albeit a little, got more as he felt a soul shredding pain sourcing through his whole body, he would have fainted several times if he had not forced himself to stay awake and use more of the Spiritual Energy to make more barriers.

With each barrier he made, he felt like his muscles were getting torn apart.

The pain was more than what he suffered while passing the Trial of Pridid Lake.

But he knew that if he fell unconscious, then the kids would never be able to live.

He continued to use the Spiritual Energy after they fell and even coated everyone with more spheres while the last one was about to break apart.

But that was also not the end.

Right after they touched the earth, another big boulder dropped on the sphere which he had made.

Ye Qian was already at his end when he had formed more shields for every child.

But seeing the boulder falling towards them, his mind went blank for a few moments as he roared while standing straight with his hand raised.

The impact with which the boulder fell was not much but it still caused Ye Qian to have more internal injuries as he coughed several times.

He understood that seeing all this the kids would be frightened, so he had already made all of them unconscious while he caught the boulder.

He used all that he could and threw the boulder, and he finally sighed in relief.

But then a piercing pain made his whole body twitch.

This was not some ordinary backslash.

Even after dropping another half a stage he still continued to pull more of Spiritual Energy thus causing a deep sucking force in his dantian.

After he sighed in relief for all this his body innately released all the stress accumulated all this time, causing him to feel like he was being sliced by hundreds of knives in a second. 

The pain continued to overwhelm him when he coughed several times as a few of his inner tissues were also injured.

Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth and his legs finally gave way and he fell on his knees.

That was until he finally started to lose consciousness.

The world right now felt completely different to him.

There was complete silence except for the crying of the kids which he heard.

But even when he wanted to respond to them, he couldn't, his body was not listening to him.

Every cell within his body was trembling in pain.

The little or so spiritual energy stored in them was also going out of control thus making Ye Qian suffer more pain compared to when he was within the Lake of Pridid.

All he could hear was the children seemed to have found someone and were calling that person to help him out.

Ye Qian had lost his consciousness but his ears were still able o perceive everything around as he heard a woman's cry.

"It's you."

He didn't know who this woman was but her voice still seemed to be a git familiar to him, though he had not met many women after coming here he knew he would never be able to remember anyone unless he had been in close contact with anyone of them.

The woman seemed to have also recognized him but he didn't even have the power to look at her while opening his eyes lids much less saying anything in return.

He then felt that the woman had helped him carry to the ground and also brought the kids with her, thus he knew that the woman was kind-hearted and thus let his guard down.

Not like he even had it up, since he was completely venerable if anyone were to do anything to him.

Though no one would be able to harm him due to his immortal body, he also didn't have the strength to counter.

As he was placed on something cold Ye Qian felt a burst of Spiritual Energy gushing out of his Dantian and filling his entire body with it.

Within no time his body was back to normal but the pain from before still made him unable to think with his senses still tingling.

The moment the Spiritual Energy caused the outburst within his body, it caused his body to twitch even more as the sudden burst of energy caused Ye Qian to open his eyes wide.

It was so much out of his control that it almost made him go berserk.

But since he had been cultivated the God Asura Scripture his mind was calm and he was able to overcome it, but still, the energy was too much.

So all he could do was to use it somewhere since it was also filled with the impurities removed from his body he could also not divert it back to his Dantian, much less he would not even dare to think of using it to get his little girls and Yuan Meng to strengthen them.

It would only cause them more harm than benefit them.

It was similar to a kind of poison, which was been removed through the method of detoxification.

So he could only throw all that out, but he also knew that doing so would also harm anyone who was in the vicinity.
