Chapter 235 - Spa...row..!

Ye Qian stood right in front of the door of the room under the basement.

Though there was a thick 10-inch iron sheet covering the basement, that was not the same for the walls of it, they were made of normal bricks while the room was also simple, of course since there were kids in ti no one would make a highly toughened walls and doors.

Ye Qian carefully opened the door of the room with a smile on his lips.

He didn't want to make the kids afraid of him, he already knew that maybe they were already afraid of the sounds.

As soon as he opened the door he was greeted by nothing other than a dim light and in the other corner of the room, all the kids were trembling in fear with the smallest 3 years older one sobbing while the other girl had her mouth closed.

"SIGH"

Ye Qian sighed, these small ones have really been through something which one would never have thought, and this would only be like the worst nightmare in their memory which they would never be able to cast away, it would be like a shadow in their life constantly making them afraid.

Ye Qian carefully walked to them with light steps and waved his hand as the dim tube light in the room brightened.

The kids were already holding each other in fear.

Ye Qian walked to them and chuckled lightly.

"Hello little ones, do you all want to go to your mom?"

Ye Qian asked while trying to hide the pain he felt after seeing their conditions.

They had dirt and soil covering them and most of their clothes were also dirty, Ye Qian's heart ached as he saw the conditions in which they were left to live.

He even doubted that the men had even given enough food to all of them.

While thinking of this his heart suddenly turned cold.

'I shouldn't have let them die so easily. For making these little ones suffer, they should be burning for days in the Pririd.'

As he thought the atmosphere in the room went down by a few more degrees.

It was already so cold at night and with the temperature dropping a few more degrees due to Ye Qian's killing intent, the kids shivered.

Noticing that his thought might make the kids get colder he shook his head and sighed again.

He looked at the kids who seemed to be still afraid of him and an idea popped into his mind.

He smiled and brought his hand into his coat and released the small sparrow from his breast pocket.

"CHIPR CHIRP"

With a few chirpings, the small sparrow jumped of Ye Qian's hands onto the ground.

The first thing she saw was a few children who had their eyes closed and seemed to be afraid.

She understood why Ye Qian brought her out and nodded at him with a small chirp.

She flew to the 3 years old girl and landed on her hand.

"CHIPR CHIRP"

She chirped several times while pecking her beak on her cheeks.

"Hehehehe."

The girl giggled as she felt being tickled.

Hearing her giggle, the others also looked at the small sparrow.

They had heard Ye Qian but they were so much traumatized that they didn't want to believe anyone now.

"Spa...row..."

The little one spoke in her broken language as she clapped her hands in amazement.

Every child like sparrows, but they are too fast and agile so rarely can anyone can get so close to one.

But right now one was chirping with them and even tickling them.

Very soon, the little thing had pecked all of them on their cheeks and the atmosphere had become lively with their giggles.

Ye Qian's heart felt warm, and with the presence of the Sparrow, the kids were also not feeling any cold due to her innate fire.

Ye Qian asked again seeing they seemed to have come out of their fears.

"Do you all want to get to your mothers?"

Ye Qian picked her up and pinched her small nose.

The girl held his hand and caught his finger with her tiny little hands.

Ye Qian waved his hand and a packet of small chocolates appear in his hand.

He took one while giving the packet to the 5 years only girl who was holding the little one in her hands for so long.

Seeing the packet of chocolate, she hesitated but then took and then gave everyone one and then ate one herself.

"TIK TIK"

While all this happened a small ticking sound started to increase with each tik.

Though the sound was very subtle it would not be missed by Ye Qian's ears.

Ye Qian's eyes widened, he had nearly forgotten about the detonators while trying to make the kids happy.

He almost wanted to slap himself.

His back went immediately cold as he quickly thought of something.

"Come on kids we need to get out of here as quickly as possible."

Saying that he waved his hand and didn't dare to care about his wastage of Spiritual energy anymore and formed a few tentacles which were connected to his back.

"AHHH."

The kids screamed as they were suddenly lifted in the air after the uncle said them to quickly run.

The small sparrow was also sitting on Ye Qian's shoulder all this time.

Ye Qian quickly rushed while holding the smallest one in his arms while the other 8 were held tightly by the tentacles.

Ye Qian had crushed away from the steel door of the basement and so it was quiet east for him to rush out without taking any time.
