Chapter 184 - When Will Mumma And Papa Come?

"Clink Clink."

In the dining room, there was complete silence, except for the few clinking sounds which came as the two little girls tapped their spoons on the plates in front of them.

There was a small pout on their lips.

"Ahh, where are Papa and Mumma?"

Little Qiqi peeked her head and looked at the door of the dining room but she could not see anyone coming from it.

She turned to Ning Wei and Yu Lan and asked.

"Aunt Wei, do you know when will Papa and Mumma come?"

The two mentioned turned to each other and didn't know what to say.

They turned to the sad girls and shook their heads.

"They will come soon."

Ning Wei smiled wryly. 

Meanwhile, the people around them were silent.

The table was completely packed up now and they were sitting really close to each other and had to get the chairs from the living room as well to get someplace to eat.

Lin, Yanran, Mei were looking at each other with weird smiles.

It seemed like they didn't know if they must laugh or cry at this situation.

This was because Mei had not eaten lunch the whole day, though she had some snacks after coming here it was still not enough to make her stomach fill.

She had just eaten a burger with Xiao Ya and that too after she insisted on.

If not for that her stomach might have started to make many weird sounds by now.

But that was not the same for the other two, namely Lin and Yanran.

Though they had eaten more than they would normally eat the whole day, they were still feeling hungry and it was really weird for them since they knew how much they had eaten in the afternoon, they were still feeling a lot hungry than normal, usually, they would eat 2 times a day, but now they had already eaten more than twice than they normally would.

Though the three's faces were having almost similar expressions their reason was different.

Meanwhile, Grandpa Xiao was frowning as he continuously stared at the door of the dining room.

It had been so long and no one was back.

It had also been about 2 minutes that Grandma Yan went to bring the two, but now even she didn't show any signs of coming back.

While Grandma Yan was about to go call Ye Qian and Yuan Meng, Little Qiqi and Little Jia wanted to go with her and bring their Papa, but then Grandma Yan said that it was not nice to get up once you were sitting at the table.

And since it was called a bad manner by their Grandma to get up after sitting at the table, the two little girls didn't want to become manner less so they sat there while their Grandma went to call for Ye Qian and Yuan Meng.

"Qiqi, look, Grandma is coming."

Little Jia called out seeing that Grandma Yan walking at the door with a wide smile.

"Ohh, but where are Mumma and Papa."

Little Qiqi's eyes shone at first but then after seeing that it was only Grandma her face fell again, but she still looked at the door to see if her Mumma and Papa were coming behind her Grandma.

But to no avail, there was no sign of any of them even after Grandma had sat on the chair by now.

Seeing Little Qiqi's and Little Jia's sad faces, Grandma Yan chuckled.

"Don't worry my little girls, they both are coming in just a minute."

She had just said it when Little Qiqi and Little Jia's faces brightened with joy as they waved at the door.

Grandma Yan knew that Ye Qian and Yuan Meng had arrived and turned around and smiled with a teasing expression at Yuan Meng.

Yuan Meng was following behind Ye Qian when Grandma Yan smiled at her.

Seeing her smile Yuan Meng's face flushed and she didn't dare to look up anymore.

"Papa, you are so late."

Little Qiqi exclaimed as she pouted her lips a little but there she had a smile.

Ye Qian walked to the chair which was left for him since the girls were sitting on both sides.

"Sorry, Butterfly, Papa was a little busy."

Ye Qian sat while smiling and picked Little Qiqi's nose.

Little Jia giggled, seeing Ye Qian and pulled his sleeve.

"Now Papa has to feed Qiqi and Jia as a punishment."

"Yes, I will feed my two little princesses as a punishment."

Ye Qian chuckled and patted Little Jia's head.

Meanwhile, Ning Wei and Yuan Meng shook their heads while turning to each other and smiled helplessly.

'Is that even a punishment, he always feeds you two.'

The two thought and giggled while covering their mouths.

Yuan Meng took a seat beside Ning Wei and sat, the two were directly facing Ye Qian and the little girls now.

Little Qiqi smiled at her Mumma and waved.

Yuan Meng smiled back while giving her a flying kiss.

Meanwhile, Ye Qian was looking at her and he knew that the kiss was for both, Little Qiqi and him and smiled.

He then glanced at Ning Wei and nodded with a serene smile.

Ning Wei felt warm in her heart and understood that he meant she was also one of family.

"Ahem. If you all are done now shouldn't we start now?"

"Now it's already been too late and Little Lan's friends are also hungry start it quickly."

All this did not remain unnoticed by someone, and though there were more they didn't feel anything wrong.

Grandma Yan rolled her eyes looking at the trio it had already been late due to the couple and they were still wasting more time, if this were to go on her Vegetable stir fry will be completely cooked and feel like cooked fish.

She stood while taking the bowl of Vegetable Stir fry and started to place it on Little Qiqi's, Grandpa Xiao's and Ye Qian's plate.
