Chapter 170 - Does She Miss Her Dad, Just Like Qiqi?

In the shop, Ye Qian wiped Xiao Ya's tears and gave her a pat.

"Ok, Xiao Ya everything is fine now, you and Qiqi are friends and will be getting with each other all the time, if anyone bullies you then tell Butterfly about it."

Ye Qian then caressed her tiny ponytail which was made asymmetrically, maybe it was her grandfather who made it and smiled.

"Hmm."

Little Qiqi nodded with a bright smile on her lips as she heard her Papa.

"Now you too should always help Xiao Ya in school, alright."

Ye Qian said to Little Qiqi to which she was already excited and nodded again.

Seeing her like this Ye Qian was amused.

One would always feel happy when there was someone small than them, especially in the family.

For Little Qiqi, now Xiao Ya was like a small sister much less a friend as they were getting along with each other pretty quickly.

Ye Qian glanced at the old man who had grateful look and nodded.

"Xiao Ya, then I will come tomorrow to meet you, if you want you can come."

Ye Qian looked back at Xiao Ya and said with a smile.

"Huh?"

Xiao Ya was confused as to why would he call her and wondered.

Ye Qian then continued.

"You see there is a small party in the old age house in here, and even Butterfly and Jia will be there as well."

Ye Qian said his voice was enough to be heard by the old man as well.

The old man nodded with a bright smile.

Xiao Ya nodded and then turned around.

"Grandpa, can Xiao Ya go to the party as well?"

She asked her grandpa as it was not nice to go without asking.

She looked around and saw her grandpa nod without saying anything.

She was confused, usually, whenever she wanted to go out to play in the garden or park, her grandpa would tell her that she must not go alone but now that the good uncle was asking so he accepted very quickly.

"Alright, then I will come back tomorrow to get some meat for the party, that time I will pick Xiao Ya as well."

Ye Qian said to the old man and then turned to Xiao Ya.

"Xiao Ya, also keep your books ready so that you will study for some time with your friends before the party."

Usually, Xiao Ya would always try to avoid studying and homework while she was alone, but now with friends, she was more eager to study and do her homework.

She quickly nodded with a sweet smile.

"Hmm."

Ye Qian nodded and then went to the counter while holding the little girl's hands.

"It's 77 Yuan's but just give me 70 this time."

As Ye Qian wanted to ask for the money the old man said while he handed him the 2 large bags containing more than 4 to 5 bags or different kinds of meat.

There was a total of 5 kinds of meat, since there was Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Bones, and some other things like fat and minced meat for the rice.

Ye Qian nodded and handed him a 100 Yuan note without saying anything.

He took the bags with the little girls bidding their farewell to Xiao Ya.

"Bye Xiao Ya, we will meet tomorrow at home."

Little Jia said with a broad smile and waved her hand after giving Xiao Ya a hug.

Little Qiqi was the same but she added.

"And don't forget to bring books we will do the homework together and Big Sister will help us."

As she completed her last word her smile turned devious again.

Seeing her Little Jia roll her eyes she knew what it meant, of course, it would be her who would do her homework.

But Ye Qian's voice came from behind.

"Butterfly, Jia will only help you, but you two will do the homework yourself."

"Yes, Papa, Qiqi always does her homework herself, Qiqi was just making Xiao Ya feel happy."

Little Qiqi giggled.

"Hmm."

"Come then, I think it's already late by now, my and your moms will be waiting for us."

Ye Qian said as the little girls waved their hands at each other and Little Jia opened the door.

Xiao Ya also waved her hand till the door closed by itself with a wide smile.

She had no friends in Kindergarten so far and with making friends like Little Qiqi and Little Jia, she was happy.

"Come on Xiao Ya we must go home as well; your Grandma might be worried about us."

The old man said as he went to switch the lights off and pulled the shutter down.

With that, the shop was closed and the street was silent without any noise other than just the chirping of insects at night.

As many might be thinking as to why there was no mention of the Samsara Ring after Ye Qian walked out of the iron door.

As Ye Qian came out, sensing him the Samsara Ring stopped the restricting glow and shrank till it was back to the size of the ring and flew back to Ye Qian's finger as he placed the old man on the chair.

In the meantime, as Ye Qian had walked out of the shop.

With the two girls walking a few feet in front of him and him following behind them carrying bags.

"Big Sister, why was Xiao Ya behaving like that when Papa called her."

Little Qiqi asked as they walked some meters away from the shop.

"Hmm, maybe she remembered her dad after seeing our Papa."

Little Jia said with her lips pursed and thought.

"Ohh."

Little Qiqi nodded.

"Yes, Butterfly, what your Big Sister said is why Xiao Ya behaved like that."

Ye Qian smiled as he noticed what the two were talking about.

"So Papa, does Xiao Ya miss her dad just like Qiqi used to miss you?"

Ye Qian's steps came to halt as he heard her words.
