Chapter 188: Charge Ahead!

"Master, I've brought the four Guardians of the nightmare zone as per your command. They are all on the same level as me and capable of doing a lot of things. Just give them a command if you want to crush the foul-smelling enemies on the cliff, and they will not hesitate to give it their all to tear them apart."

Grace said in a voice overflowing with confidence as she lowered both of her heads, bringing them next to him, signaling him to jump on top of her. Elliot looked at her, a smile on his face. She had honestly surpassed his expectations.

"Grace, you did far better than I thought." Elliot praised, "You've surpassed my expectations."

He didn't know how she managed to round up so many powerful beasts in such a short time, but he wasn't one to ponder on the secrets of others. He was just thankful that she brought so many helpers!

"Just doing my job." Grace was all smiles, appearing quite cute, although she was a humongous and ferocious monster. Maybe it was her innate charm. Anyway, she had succeeded in winning over Elliot's heart. She was competent, a type of subordinate he was ready to go through mountains of swords and seas of fire to keep by his side forever.

She nudged him, telling him to get on top of her. Without any hesitation, he did just that, and now he appeared more like a king who had come with his army to take over the enemy's kingdom instead of a foot soldier.

While standing on top of her raised head, his gaze swept past the serpentine devils, whose eyes were opened wide like saucers as they looked in his direction in disbelief, and stopped on Benjamin. Then, he intentionally stretched his lips into an evil grin, a pleasant look vivid in his eyes.

"Ah!"

Benjamin knew that he was taunting him, that he could command the army of beasts to attack him at any moment. His mouth opened for a brief moment before it closed. He had no words to say. This time, he had defeated him thoroughly.

"Master, please give your command." Grace implored once again.

She was the widely proclaimed princess of the nightmare forest. She had lived in this place for thousands of years and shared friendly relationships with the guardians, who were even older than her but less talented.

She had lived her life with a carefree attitude; freedom and peace were the two things she loved more than her life. However, she no longer felt free as the group of bastards in front of her had put a barrier around her home, caging her as well as the other beasts, stopping them from going outside the forest! That's why she appeared eager about ripping them apart.

Elliot knew that Grace and the other beasts were boiling with anger.

First off, the serpentine devils had secretly taken away their freedom by putting up a barrier that limited their movement, which had caused many beasts to be distressed for the past month!

They didn't know who had set up the barrier or for what reason! They didn't even know how to take it apart.

However, after Grace went to them and cleared up their confusion, they immediately realized that the ones behind it all were invaders—a term that the beasts use to classify beings from outside the enclosed settlement. They also knew that they needed to take down all of the invaders if they wanted to regain their freedom.

Thus, they too were eager to rip them apart and destroy the barrier to regain their freedom.

How could Elliot bear to hold back such lovely, cute, and eager beasts?

"Look how the table has changed." Elliot scoffed loudly, and his voice indeed reached the ears of his attended audience. They were once using their numbers of abuse him, releasing one volley of thousand arrows after another, giving him no time to rest. However, now he had ten times more of their numbers.

"My Army of beasts!"

Elliot's eyes brightened up in a ferocious and vibrant glow. Waves of golden energy surged out of his right palm, stretching and sharpening, taking the shape of a golden sword whose hilt he grabbed in his hand tightly.

"Charge ahead! Kill those bastards and take back your freedom!"

He brandished his bright and glittering golden sword towards the serpentine devils as he said those words with three parts majesty and seven parts murderous desires. In the eyes of the beauties, he appeared extremely magnificent.

Honestly, who didn't like a strong and vigorous man? They were maidens, aiming for a man like him. Naturally, his overflowing strength ended up moving their hearts.

"Roar!" Grace roared out loud, and then the beasts behind her also roared, appearing to enter a state of frenzy. Then, she flapped her wings, taking to the skies, and charged towards the cliff. The beasts down below also moved their limbs hurriedly and dashed towards the same direction.

The serpentine devils had an ashen expression on their faces, almost as if they were ready to commit suicide. Honestly, they were just rotten apples. They bullied and played with those weaker than themselves, but they didn't have any guts to keep their heads high in front of those stronger than themselves.

"Snap out of it and pull yourself together!" Benjamin roared out, commanding them to raise their weapons and aim at them. "Kill as many as you can and protect the Crystal even if it cost you your lives! We must not let them destroy it!"

There was a crystal within the cliff, and it was the thing that was supplying energy to the one-fifth of the barrier, keeping the nightmare zone caged. If it gets destroyed, anyone would be able to leave the forest through the nightmare zone.

They must not let it get destroyed!

Furthermore, they had no choice but to fight.

First off, if they left their post, the curse of the serpent would kill them. If they don't leave, they will become dinner for the beasts. Since they were going to die anyway, why not take a few enemies with them to hell?
