Chapter 172: New Evolution Material!

Elliot saw blood drizzling out of the cracks on its meaty head as it went backward and crashed into many trees. That was just one of the disadvantages of being big and bulky; the wider the body, the harder it gets to evade things in the terrain. The trees it crashed on nearly snapped in half, some of them slanting towards it, shadowing its figure.

The gigantic snake groaned, convulsing even as a huge amount of pain assaulted its senses, making its vision grow blurry.

However, both It and Elliot knew that—if given enough time—it would heal due to its high level of vitality and unbelievable regeneration.

"Guys, look at the wounds on its body!" Nina said in a somewhat shaky voice while sitting on the golden cloud and pointing her index fingers at its head.

She didn't even need to say a word, though, as everyone was already staring at it in vigilance. The cracks on the monster's head were healing at a rate visible to the naked eye. Its tongue slithered out of its mouth, licking the ruby alien blood trickling down its forehead, which resulted in its wound healing at a faster rate. They knew that attacking it while it was down was the best way to come out of this situation unharmed. However, they didn't attack as they didn't have magic energy in their body, making it impossible for them to activate their superpowers. Fighting it barehanded was also out of the question. Scales were covering its entire body, and no matter how much strength they use in their fists or kicks, it will be impossible to do any damage to it.

The snake started wiggling its body, highlighting the fact that only in a few moments It had recollected its senses and healed enough to move. Its movement didn't escape Elliot's eyes, however, and he immediately released a volley of blue energy blast towards its direction.

"Don't blame me for being merciless." He said: the intent to kill flowing out of his bright eyes, as the energy blasts crashed—not on It—but the trees that just needed a slight push to snap in half.

"Crack~" The trees snapped and dropped on top of the poor monster that was unable to move out of their way in time. Its three eyes widened, nearly popping out of their sockets as one of the heavy trees smacked its head, breaking all three of its horns and causing it to kiss the ground and eat dirt. The other trees smashed on its back, black wings, and black and sharp as knife tail, giving a beating of its life.

The onlookers were equally surprised, and their mouths gaped in shock. The absurdity of the situation was enough to cause their eyes to widen. The monster that could end their life in a flash, even if they put up resistance, was no different than a spoiled child in need of a spanking in front of Elliot!

[Monster Name: Shadow Hunter]

[Health Point: 300/1000]

[Spiritual Energy: 980 units]

A notification popped up in Elliot's mind when he looked at It with the intent of knowing how much more beating it needs to breathe its last, and he was happy to see that it was nearing death.

The snake's tongue had lolled out of its mouth due to the beating it received, and It currently tasted dirt and blood. Its blood was like ruby, solid, and one could say that shards of ruby were leaking out of its head and flesh that was in a mess.

Right now, it looked like a red velvet cake, and Elliot was ready to devour it!

He pointed his hand toward the wounded snake, and immediately after, spiritual energy surged out of his palm, swirling and curling, condensing into the shape of a blue ball of energy that shot towards the monster's head.

[-15 spiritual energy]

[-20 spiritual energy]

[-5 spiritual energy]

The same thing happened many times as he rapidly released many blue energy blasts from his palm that shot towards its ugly mug. The wounded monster had no way of evading his attacks. After all, Elliot had trapped It under many trees. Not to mention, It lacked the strength to move its body.

Bam! [-20 HP!

Bam! [-15 HP]

Bam! [-30 HP]

The energy blast crashed on its face, one after another, just as he intended them to, and as expected, the explosions caused severely damaged it.

The force of the energy blasts disfigured it and brought it one breath away from death. However, it was still alive and glaring at Elliot. Its stare was full of viciousness, and if looks could deal damage to another, Elliot would've already lost all his HP.

"Still not death." Elliot clicked his tongue, annoyed by the fact that he failed to take it down even after using a technique he just created. "What a persistence bastard."

Under the eyes of Oliver, Arthur, Lucy, and the others, Elliot casually hurled another energy blast towards his enemy, and as this one was made out of a hundred units of spiritual energy, meaning that it packed more power than the ones before, the resulted explosion caused its head to be blasted apart into pieces. Pieces of crystallized blood, shards of its broken down scales, and black flesh fell here, there, and everywhere.

[You've slain an Elite Evil Spirit Monster, Shadow Hunter]

[You've gained the right to extract its essence of life]

[Congratulations! You've created a new magic technique: Consecutive Energy Blast]

Like its name, using this technique, Elliot could dish out a volley of energy blast, not too slow, not too fast, but good enough to deal massive amounts of damage. The only downside was that it was too draining on his energy. However, he could always restore it by sucking in the energy present in nature.

Elliot utilized his low level of authority over the life of others and immediately extracted the essence of life from its carcass. [+3000 units of the essence of life]

Now, he had enough to create two more celestial energy channels!

"I should look for a safe place after rummaging through the den of nightmare panthers." He decided to find a safe hideout before progressing by two levels.

"Hurry up and move your butts. Collect its crystal-like blood, scales, fangs, core, and gallbladder. Everything is poisonous. So, Cover your hands with whatever you've if you don't want to die."

Elliot ordered, and his slaves stepped out of their golden clouds, covered their hands with clothes, gloves, and whatever they had, and started to pick up the important body parts of the snake. Its blood was a material needed to create both poison and anti-inflammatory drugs. Melting its scale into liquid metal and pouring said liquid into a mold of some shape would result in the creation of weapons stronger than artifacts in the magical realm.

Lastly, its gallbladder was an evolution material that carried potent poison, enough to kill anyone that consumes it! However, Elliot could use it without any worries as he was immune to such poison!

"Here you go." Oliver handed over the gallbladder to him.

To his surprise, Elliot didn't cover his hands with anything and picked up the evolution material with twinkling eyes. He happily stored it in his subspace, thinking that using it at a later time to awaken to the superpower of creating and secreting poison wouldn't be a bad deal!

"Let's go." After a while, when they finished collecting everything useful from its body, they continued on their journey.

Along the way, they met the snake's family members, probably its son and daughter as both of them were weaker than it.

"Hiss!" "Hiss!"

The gigantic snakes coldly hissed and straightened their body, towering over Elliot, his slave, Lucy, and the people behind them. Because their physique was too big, a black shadow of doom was cast upon all of them. One of them was pink, a blessing of her mother, and the other was as black as its father.

The monsters gave off an intense murderous aura, the airs of a hunter, ones strong enough to cause their hair to stand on edge. Tia's bristled from fear, unable to even look away from them. However, the hearts of the others were at peace as they believed in Elliot, who did not disappoint them at the least and destroyed the two monsters before they could even use their magical abilities.

[You've killed two Shadow Hunters in the Spirit Warrior Stage]

[You've extracted their lifespans and earned 1500 units of the essence of life]

Not wanting to disregard the monsters he just killed, he once again, ordered the ones under the safety of his wings to act useful for once, and they dismantled them, separating the trash from the useful stuff that they handed over to him. Lucy, Oliver, and Arthur weren't his slaves and had no obligation to follow his words, but to lessen the burden on the others, they helped in the dismantling of the bodies of the Spirit Monsters.

"I wish we won't encounter another monster."

"We probably won't."

"Why do you think so?"

"Because the beast's den is only a small distance away from here."

He carried the nine humans and also one monster on his back like a true champion! After traveling for thirty or so minutes, they finally reached their destination.
