Chapter 281: Accepting Teachers!

It took a couple of hours before the entrance examination finished. Many people were in the spacious hall. A portal opened up, and out came Pill Emperor and the seven lords.

A casual look told the emperor that there were seventy or so people who had reached here. This number had far surpassed their estimation, and it was all because Elliot messed up the challenges set by the seven lords.

"Except for the seven people who arrived here first, all of you leave." Said the Pill Emperor with an overwhelming look in his eyes.

Many people wanted to argue as they had reached so far after facing too many hardships; however, after seeing the murderous glint flashing across the eyes of the seven lords and the pill emperor, they didn't say a word and with their heads held low, turned out and left the academy.

Pill Emperor looked at the remaining seven people left in the hall and said, "You guys are now the members of the Celestial Mountain. We only have seven instructors here, and they are the best of the best. You guys can choose any of them as your master and learn under them."

He then told the seven lords to introduce themselves.

"Hello, kiddos, I am the Wine Lord. Beneath the sky of this world, there's no one better than me at making wine. I am the creator of the celestial wine; I believe you all have heard the tale of what it does. I won't say much. If you want to become the best wine brewer, bow to me nine times and accept me as your master." Wine Lord looked somewhat like the eastern immortal but had some western celestial features to his face. It was not hard to determine that he was of mixed race. The thing was, he liked the eastern culture more than the west. So his requirement tented to that side too and required others to perform the disciple master ritual to become his student.

"Please accept my bows, master!"

Who was it? It was none other than the person who fetched a free ride all the way here. Thomas knew that he was not good at combat or complex things. However, he came from a wealthy family. Drinking wine was not only his hobby but also his passion. He had done extensive research on it too. The celestial wine was one of the best, and barely any other wine could match it. In the ancient records of his family, Wine Lord's best wine could open all the energy channels, connect them to form an energy circuit, expand it to the size of an elephant, let the energy pass the solidification process, causing gaseous mana to turn into a river and the river into a mountain, all with a single jar of celestial wine!

Thomas Shelby hit his head on the floor nine times, not giving a damn about showing others his embarrassing state. All that mattered to him was to learn how to make the celestial wine!

"Good! Good! Come, I will show you where you'll live from now on." Wine Lord dragged the passionate Thomas with him.

"Thank you, brother God! If we meet again, I will treat you to my best wine!" Before vanishing from the hall, Thomas waved his hands at Elliot.

"Ahem!" Lord Puppet cleared his throat, and once several pairs of eyes turned towards him, he introduced himself, "I am the master of puppets. What I can teach you is self-explanatory. If you are interested in this subject and would like to learn how to create and control them, follow me."

After saying those words, he turned around to leave. A person covered in bandages from head to toe followed after him. Once he reached the door, he glanced back and revealed a look of approval to Elliot.

"I am the master of formation." Formation Lord said, "I laid down the traps that eliminated 500 people. If you wish to defeat ten thousand enemies all by yourself, I advise you to learn it from me. If some of you have gained interest in this topic, raise your hand."

Out of all the students, only a single person raised his hand. It was not like they weren't interested in it. It was just that they knew that formation creation was the hardest of all professions. It was too hard to learn it, and there was a chance that they might die of old age without completely mastering it. They knew their limits; thus, they didn't express their interest.

After Formation Lord left, Sword Lord, Saber Lord, Energy Lord, and Love Lord each introduced themselves. The remaining four people left with them, leaving only Elliot and Pill Emperor behind.

They both stared at each other in the eyes, none willing to be the first one to blink.

"Why are you here?" Pill Emperor asked.

"What do you mean why? Isn't it obvious that I'm here to learn alchemy from you?" Elliot replied.

"Oh, you know what I mean. You're extremely powerful, and even I don't feel confident in defeating you. Someone like you could easily pick up the best of the alchemy technique and master all those techniques without the guidance of others. There's no need for you to come here, lower your head to me, accept me as your teacher, just to learn alchemy. So, let me ask you again, why are you here?" Pill Emperor sharp eyes looked straight at Elliot, trying to peer at his soul, see if he was lying or not.

"No matter how many times you ask, my answer will remain the same," Elliot said, speckles of honestly plenty in his eyes.

"Let me guess, did someone send you here to spy on us?" Pill Emperor probed.

Elliot rolled his eyes. What spy? What bullshit was this paranoid person spewing?

"Are you going to go back on your words and not teach me? Or are you going to do as you said and teach me, the first one to reacher here, alchemy?" Elliot asked with a straight face, hiding any emotions.

"I'm a man of my words." Pill Emperor said.

Whatever evil intention Eliot was cooking, he will know soon anyway.

For now, he will keep his enemy close to him and teach him alchemy.

Once he finds some evidence against him and makes sure that he was plotting to harm the celestial mountain, he would sacrifice himself to take him down!
