Chapter 212: The rise and Fall of Tyler Barnes (b)

Tyler Barnes had come to the ancient settlement of the soul race with high hopes of achieving his dreams and consolidating his position, becoming a respectable member of the terrorist organization with many talented underlings serving him. Yet, Elliot had destroyed all of his dreams by killing nearly all of the serpentine devils. The loss of so many members was enough to make him fall from grace. Even if he manages to complete the mission somehow and return to the organization's base, no one would praise him. Instead, he will get stripped off his high heels, clothes, pride, and so on, crippled and then thrown out the door, all because too many organization's members had died.

"Are you just going to keep on staring at me?"

Suddenly, Elliot's taunting voice sounded in Tyler Barnes and the remaining members of his army. Tyler trembled ferociously. Yet, he was not strong enough to go against him. The same went for the beasts around him.

"We surrender."

The three thousand or so beasts knew that they weren't a match for Elliot, so they decided to lower their heads and tuck their tails in between their legs, showing that they had no desire to go against Elliot.

"If you guys think that surrendering to me is going to end up saving your life, then you're hugely mistaken." Elliot's voice was calm, but it made them chilled to the root. Fear subconsciously blasted out of their completely round eyes, and Elliot continued apathetically, "I'm not going to accept your surrender. Death is the only end for all you, nothing else, nothing less. Kill yourself or die by my hands; that's the only thing up to you to decide."

He had no intention of leaving them alive as they were all precious resources to him only after he kills them or indirectly defeats them. It will be his indirect victory if they kill themselves because he would be the reason for their suicide. Thus, he gave them two choices. Of course, it was better to kill them with his hand as that would make him big bucks. According to his calculation, he might be able to rack up another 300 thousand units of the essence of life.

Tyler Barnes gritted his teeth, knowing full well that he was nothing but an ant compared to his enemy. The rest of them felt the same, if not worse, than him. Facing a calamity like Elliot left them with no freedom. Elliot had enslaved them to his choices, and the onlookers were surprised to see that. Just how powerful was this young man? Wasn't he just a seventeen-year-old kid with nothing to his name but one of the worst titles in the history of the magician community just a few months ago? How had he grown to become so terrifyingly strong in just mere months?!

"Do you need us to act?" Grace asked. She was standing behind him, acting as his holy guardian. Lucy, a beauty with sultry charms, was sitting on her head, looking at Elliot with a perplexed expression. Oliver and the rest of the beasts were coming towards him, intending to act as his arms and legs, support him in all ways possible.

"Hold your ground!"

Elliot raised his hands and shouted out loud. His voice spread far and wide, reaching the furthest of ears. Immediately, Oliver and the rest of the basis came to a halt. Grace, too, knew that her master desired to act alone, so she didn't bug him.

"I want to end it by myself," Elliot added as he started to walk towards Tyler Barnes and the remnants of his army.

One man was fearlessly walking towards an army made up of 3000 or so ferocious beasts and members of the worst terrorist organization of the current times. As he moved towards them, they moved away from him. He started to climb out of the great depression slowly, and his enemies began to run away as fast as they could.

The eyes of the onlookers widened enough to pop out of their sockets. They couldn't believe their eyes, nor what they saw, as it was something straight out of an action-packed comic book. While facing a single person, more than three thousand beings were running away like rats trying to reach their sewers.

Just how much had Elliot terrified them with his prowess?

Simply unbelievable.

Instructor Leonardo started to laugh at the top of his lungs. He couldn't help it. He had never seen something like that in his entire life.

"Make sure to record everything that's happening right now. Even three thousand years after today, we can use this video to boost the morale of our army while fighting against our enemies. By using this video as a basis, we can taunt the serpentine devils no matter how many times we lose."

In truth, what just happened was enough to demoralize the entire terrorist organization and honor the whole magician community. No one could deny it as this was a hard cold fact.

Immediately after instructor Leonardo said those words, some people snapped out of their daze and started to record the whole ongoing ordeal. Most of them were already recording it as they were the types of people that couldn't do with just indulging at the moment. Instead, they needed to record it and immortalize it to become satisfied. Thankfully, such people were here, and they managed to record everything that happened from the very beginning up till now.

"Pathetic." Elliot was disappointed once again.

He thought that just like cornered rabbits, they would put up a fight and have a go at him. However, they all ran away from him as if he was some plague. Immediately, his mood dimmed, and a line of irritation appeared in between his eyebrows, signifying that he was frowning and that he had no intention of letting them escape.

"There's no escape!" Elliot's eyes glimmered with gold, and a profound image popped up in his mind.
