Chapter 206: Going to help who, eh? (b)

After conversing for a while, they decided to join hands and get rid of the serpentine devils.

An enemy of my enemy was a friend—there was no lie in it, after all!

Julian, Tia, and the others were surprised to see that the people who were so against believing them had completely changed their faces. The ones who were going after each other, lashing out at each other, were now standing side by side.

"Let's use all our strength to break the barrier. Nothing must happen to Elliot—he has the potential to reach the level of the four emperors."

Jack Turner stepped out of the interrogation room with the others. All of them were enthusiastic, and they couldn't wait to immediately open a hole in the barrier and enter the ancient civilization to deal with the serpentine devil and do everything in their power to get Elliot out of that place, alive and unharmed.

Why?

It's all because of his supernatural power and his overwhelming potential.

Elliot was the only one in recent years to show the potential of an Emperor. Each of them had established their name by performing a legendary act, one comparable to the Gods and warriors of Greek mythology. Elliot had done it too, and his performance surpassed his predecessor!

If they carefully nurture him and he realizes his potential, the human race would gain another emperor. With five emperors at the helm, they would be able to expand further, invade the beasts' kingdoms and gain more footing in Xavier. More footing meant an increase in resources, and the more land they cover, the more ancient settlement they would come across! Who knows? Maybe further exploring the land would lead to the entrance of many other ancient settlements!

Not to mention, if any of the two sides managed to rope him in their side, the balance would immediately break! Both sides wanted that to happen so that they could emerge as the victor! So, one can determine that Elliot's existence held extreme value in their hearts. Furthermore, according to them, his master was Mr. Joker, a man of great knowledge but unknown strength. However, they believed him to be extremely strong. Gaining Elliot was the same as gaining him.

Due to all of the reasons above, nearly everyone here wanted to make sure that he would not die.

They immediately ran towards the ancient settlement. The interrogation room wasn't far away from it.

They had established a temporary base on the foot and cliff of a mountain near the barrier. So, it took them mere minutes to reach the barrier. The crowd gathered around it heard an announcement and immediately moved away from the barrier.

Several rays of light charged down the skies and stopped near the ancient settlement. All of them were King of Magics, not even Magic Lords, and they had decided to discharge their magic energies and attack at the same point. By working together, they believed that they could pole a hole in the barrier. Magic Lords such as instructor Leonardo were standing far away as it was better to let the Kings do the work than to interfere and provide the miscellaneous amount of help.

"Discharge ten thousand units of energy each and compress it into an energy blast, then release it at the same point, simultaneously." Jack Turner said, his words sounding more like a command.

Kings of Magic had a magic energy capacity of a hundred thousand units or more, and they were ridiculously strong. Though how much energy one can control differentiate. Some Magic Kings can at most control ten thousand units, while others can even control five times that. But that was the limit of a Magic King—50000 units. In history, there hadn't been a Magic King that managed to release an attack with more than 50000 units of raw magic energy in it. Only the emperors could cross this threshold, and that's how they differentiated themselves from the masses and the entire magician community.

They were living, breathing, and walking nukes, capable of releasing an energy blast with damage equivalent to the strongest nuclear bomb.

They walk the walk; they talk the talk. Though, they didn't need to use pleasantries to make others adhere to their words, as their fists alone were enough. All four of them were founders of a magician family, namely, Crimson, Charlotte, Twilight, and Truemight! The former two wanted to break free of the shackles, Truemight was in support of the association, and the last one was neutral. But everyone knew that the twilight family was secretly supporting the association, which also had four great elders capable of going against an emperor.

The emperors had conquered most of the land known to humans and happened to be the main reason why humanity managed to retake 50% of the Earth back from beasts as well as invade Xavier. Sigma was their mid-name, and alphas worked for them.

"What's the signal?"

"Release after me—same trajectory, same everything!"

"All right!"

"Let's do this!"

The kings who were just below the emperors began to discharge magic energy from their bodies. The pressure in their surroundings increased. Cracks appeared on the ground, and the density of mana in nature quadrupled. A normal human would've immediately gotten compressed to a meat pancake if they were here, but they had already evacuated everyone.

Lady Charlotte, the elders of the Academy, Jack turner, Smith Family head, and Richard Regis began to compress ten thousand units of energy into an energy blast. Just as they had begun, however, a ripple like the ones in a pond swept across the barrier, and then its walls showcased what was currently happening inside.

The virtual picture of thousands of beasts appeared on the walls of the barrier, each baring their teeth at each other. One look was enough for the kings to decide that the beast belonged to two different armies. Though, the beasts appeared no different than a bunch of small figurines as the virtual picture was from the perspective of someone who was looking down at the beasts from high above.
