Chapter 201: Giving Lucy a Choice—be mine or be mine?

Lucy subconsciously bobbed her head, charmed and hypnotized by his seduction, and then she blushed hard as she realized the inappropriate meaning behind his words. Then, she raised her head and glared at him. Elliot met her eyes with a smile. He could infer what was going around in her head by staring into the windows to her innocent soul.

"Like hell! I would never call you. I would never go into a hotel with you. I am not a loose girl! If you want to make love, then you've targeted the wrong girl, you ruffian!" Lucy huffed and pursed her lips. She was conflicted with the feeling she had for Elliot. He was good-looking, strong, and also the one who stole her lips for the first time. But he was also a cold-blooded killer who smiled while killing and enslave others after saving them. He was good and bad, like a mixture between robbin hood and a mountain bandit. And she wasn't sure whether he was serious about her or not. She was an easy-going woman, but she still had pride in her bones, and she didn't want to be Elliot's one-time fling—that's something prostitutes do, not that she had anything against them.

Elliot smiled and suddenly closed the distance between them, his face hovering close to her face. "Had anyone ever told you that with your cheeks puffed up, you look just like a hamster eating a chestnut?"

"What? What?!" Lucy was already startled by his actions, but his words just embarrassed her even more.

"You look extremely cute," Elliot said in a husky voice which shot into her ears and stabbed into her heart, filling it with lust and love as if it was a cupid arrow. The poor girl was already beyond saving, but Elliot still went on and licked one of her earlobes. The place where his tongue touched turned hot and red, and Lucy felt electric currents permeating into her body from those spots. She felt that if this were to continue, she wouldn't be able to resist him.

"Tasty." He said after licking it like a big bad cat.

"Stop trying to seduce me!" She pushed him away and looked at him sternly, tears vivid in her eyes.

Elliot coughed and then said, "I am serious about you."

"We just met days ago! How could you develop such feelings for me? I don't believe you."

Yes, she was right.

What he had for her—one couldn't possibly call it love.

It was more like a desire to hold her innocence in his grasps, embrace her and keep her by his side. His thoughts were just like a dragon looting and picking up everything it considers as its treasure and storing them in its cave.

And yes, he wasn't extremely attracted to her appearance. She was above-average but not on the kingdom toppling level. She was beautiful in her way but not gorgeous enough to make Elliot fall head over heels for her. Still, he desired her, every inch of her, as he was more in love with her nature, not her appearance. She had selflessly sacrificed her lifespan for others and treated them with the same selflessness. A woman like her was hard to come across, and he didn't want to give her up to another man.

Elliot wondered whether she would do the same for him?

"Believe me; I want to make you mine, so I will do everything in my power to make you mine," Elliot replied with seriousness plastered all over his face.

Lucy felt angered by his words. After all, she wasn't a thing and also not his possession!

"And I won't let you have your way with me."

Although that was her current stance, and he admits that he took advantage of her and was going overboard, he still believed that she would not be able to get him out of her mind if he pesters her endlessly.

"Oh, is that the truth? You might even call me in the end. Honestly, I will be patient with you and wait for your call, and if it turns out that I was wrong and you won't call me, I still have plenty of ways to make you my bride."

"W-what ways?"

Hearing him call her his bride stunned her, and with mouth agape, she stuttered.

Elliot smiled and explained, "First off, after I return to Xavier and win extreme glory, my name and fame as a genius who managed to explore a settlement and fend off the serpentine devils would spread far and wide, reaching the ears of many, including your family. As I am young and full of potential, many people would want to form a relationship with me. They will send out invitations, giving out many benefits to entice me into becoming a magician of their family and adopt their name. Some will try to marry off their daughters to me. At that time, I will just propose to your family, asking for your hand in marriage. Would the elders agree or disagree?"

Lucy had the answer to it. They would agree without any hesitation. He was just that talented! And it would be considered as a blessing to her family to be in-laws of someone like him.

She looked towards him.

Elliot flashed her a calculated smile; only then did Lucy realize that he had fallen for a devil disguised as a human.

"That's blackmail! You're a bad guy."

Sitting across her with a teasing expression on his face, he said, "Yes, I am a villain, and I am true to my desires. You're what I want so I will get you, whether you're willing or not. Though, from our earlier intimate experience, I do believe you're quite willing."

Elliot winked and threw a card with his contact information her way, and it landed on her lap. Then, he moved away from her, fearing that he would lose his mind and refuse to let go of her. His brother had already grown to the size of a monster, ready to destroy everything in its path.

'I am a man and a throughout beast, alright.' Elliot internally thought while looking into the snowy-white skies, wishing that he could take a cold bath to calm his hot volcano.

They were already in the central zone and heading deeper into it—the place where the last and the strongest of the serpentine devils stood guard.

Lucy stared at the card in silence. At first, she didn't move to pick it up. The moment his gaze turned away from her, she hurriedly picked it up and stored it in her subspace. Then, she wondered why she did that?! Did she want to keep in contact with the devil or not? No, she had no choice now, as he was intent on getting her. The reality of her situation had exceeded her imagination—it was more like whether she was ready to happily become the devil's bride or sadly become his bride? Lucy could've never thought that just going outside her house for the first time to explore an ancient settlement would result in her getting picked up by a man who was adamant about becoming her husband!

Meanwhile, Grace chuckled inwardly as her eyes glistened in a playful and sly light. She had intentionally made Lucy fall over her master. She could tell that they had feelings for her, just that they weren't ready to accept it. So, she just gave them a light push, a kiss that set up an explosion in their heads and caused their minds to start working.

It was only after kissing her, tasting her innocence, and feeling her warmth did Elliot realize that he could not have her doing that with another man; that he wanted her to be his alone. Whether she thinks of him as a manipulative sociopath, a crazy psychopath, or an overly obsessive person—he cared but couldn't help it. He wasn't willing to let go of her. That's why he honestly told her how far he was willing to go to get her. Of course, he forgot to add that he would kill any man that she would try to get intimate with to fend him off or make him feel disgusted. Well, it's better if she doesn't know that.

The snow danced in the heavens far above, cascading down to the mortal world, mixing with the red dust. Thousands of beasts marched towards the depth of the eternal snow zone, coming across many beasts that terrified more than half of them. However, none of them attacked them as each of them had intelligence and also knew who Grace and the guardians of the nightmare forest were. At most, they asked for what business they were here, and after getting an answer, opened a path for them to move across their territory unhindered.

"These fucking beasts are more civilized than us Communists and magicians. If it were our world, we would be taking tolls to allow entry into our territory." Elliot couldn't help but look at the beasts' races in a new light.
