Chapter 198: Clearing the West, South, and East! (Grand finale Part-c)

While Cora was indulging in debauchery, performing sexual acts with a lower-ranking member from the same organization as her, a huge claw smashed through the roof and came crashing down towards them. She and her partner failed to react to the situation properly as everything happened too suddenly.

However, she was a magic grandmaster, and her reaction speed exceeded ordinary humans by several times.

Thus, she managed to discharge some of her magic energy to enclose herself and her lover in an egg-like shield—taking only an instant to do so.

The shield was blue and had many red lines on it, signifying that it was made out of magic energy and fortified with demonic energy, causing its defensive properties to double. The thin shield was so powerful that magicians below the Magic Grandmaster stage couldn't possibly destroy it. So, she was sure that she would survive this sneak attack.

"Rip!"

Right at that very moment, the claw that was bigger than herself touched the shield and immediately tore it apart. Then, it pressed on the man above her, causing eyes to pop out of his sockets and his body to burst apart like a watermelon. Immediately, he turned into a fleshless corpse, and an instant after his blood splashed on her, she met the same fate.

The beast raised its paw and saw that he had made meat pastes out of them. He looked at the mess of blood and flesh, its eyes showing vivid desires to consume it. However, remembering the man's warning, it turned its head away in disgust. Its eyes swept across the inside of the tent, and after seeing that there was no one here, it pounced towards the nearest tent, attacking the ones inside of it or running outside of it.

Just like that, Cora passed away. Was she evil, or did circumstances forced her onto this path?

She didn't die all alone, though, as a thousand others died in the same night as her.

In this temporary base of the serpentine devils, thousands of beasts lurked around, killing the ones inside of the tent and the ones who had rushed out to make a run for it. Some of them died while sleeping; Some of them died while fighting against the beasts; Some of them died while running away; Many died while having intercourse. The serpentine devil's organization was a den of evil, and indulging in the seven sins was pretty common. Some say that they indulge in debauchery 365 nights a year!

The fact that half of the base was having sex when they attacked them helped them overwhelm them without losing more than ten beasts!

Elliot was all smiles, happy to see how easily they had won against them. Bodies littered the ground, and some of them died intertwined at a certain spot. Grace and Lucy were a bit disgusted with the situation, but they didn't say anything.

"The third crystal; just where could it be?" Elliot's gaze swept over the place. He was using the power of his godly eye to the limit. The detail of everything, from the corpses to the trees, presented into his mind. Finally, his eyes stopped at the half-broken tent of Cora. He walked inside, ignored the mess of flesh and blood, and stepped up to a chest with a cloth draped on it.

The cloth was a bit red from the middle, and he immediately took it off, revealing the crystal supplying energy to the barrier's wall covering this zone.

With a powerful stomp, Elliot shattered the barrier crystal in this place, and immediately the shattering of the wall was reflected in the southern sky.

He stepped up, sat back on Grace, and ordered his good men—no, beasts to charge towards the East! There, the same thing followed, and they easily overpowered the serpentine devils in a couple of minutes.

Elliot was a bit surprised for multiple reasons at obtaining so many titles. He was pleased to be rewarded for his efforts. He had worked hard to keep their losses low and the enemies' max. He was itching to hear some words of praise, and they came in the shape of golden words, brightening his mood.

The people around him were looking at him as if he was a monster, dimming his mood. Lucy, Oliver, and Arthur were terrified for him. He had killed so much, but his expression remained the same. From the very start till now, the smile hasn't left his face. It was as if the ones he killed weren't humans but pigs whose meat would bring him cash.

Grace and the other beasts didn't mind his unhinging ferociousness as they lived in a dog-eat-dog world where a strong person like him was admired. If he wasn't a human but a beast, the four guardians would have already cooked up plans to have him marry their daughter and produce some strong hires for them.

Elliot could see the many gazes of admiration directed towards him. He could feel a few pairs of eyes filled with disbelief and fear mixed in with them. He knew that Lucy and the magic knights were thinking that he indulged in killing others. Well, that was hardly true. He was smiling all along because of the pleasant notification ringing in his ears, telling him how much he had gained! Although he knew that they would misunderstand his smile for something else, he was also too lazy to change his expression to suit their taste.

Elliot returned to Grace's head, using it as some kind of bed. He plopped his butt on her shiny and scaly surface before brandishing his sword towards a certain direction and shouting out loud, "To the center!"

An instant after those words left his mouth, the beasts gathered around him started to dash forward, and Grace followed after them, bringing him and Lucy along. She was moving fast but the ride was smooth, enough for Lucy to stand up and walk without falling. She came up to Elliot and sat beside him, enticing a word out of his mouth.

"What?" Elliot asked, breaking the silence.

"You look a lot terrifying with blood on your face." She replied while looking at his face.

Was she here to taunt him? Wasn't all the blood on his body a result of his bravery to stand against their nemesis? Yet, he still gets taunted in return. What a joke! Elliot's eyes raised. They showed calmness but madness was swirling deep in them. Something bad would have happened to her already if she wasn't her sister.

After saying that, to Elliot's surprise, she took a cloth out of her spatial device, used clear water to wet it, and then wiped the blood off his face. She was attentive, and gently cleaned his face before cleaning his hands.

Elliot realized that he misunderstood her! He also felt warm because of her actions, causing him to have more good feelings for her.

"Did you get any injury?"

"Nope." Elliot shook his head.

However, she still placed a pill in his hands.

"It's a refreshments pill. Eat it to clear your mind." She said, calmly lying through her teeth.

Elliot could tell that she was telling a lie because the pill in his hand wasn't a refreshment pill, a medicine made out of mint and other ingredients, typically consumed to soothe the body and refreshen the breath.
