Chapter 321 - Spider Lair (a)

Although the outer defense of these monsters was so strong that even a magic emperor couldn't penetrate it, they were as soft as tofu from the inside. Outwardly, they were sturdy like a masculine man, but inwardly, they were soft like a female's buttocks. After flipping them to the back of their super shells, a sadist like Elliot used their weakness to his advantage and abused their bubbly buttocks like innards and inner organs to the best of his capabilities.

Freya stood behind him and speechlessly watched how he destroyed an army of three thousand strong all by himself. If one were to look at her carefully, one would see happiness within her shocked expression. She was happy because Elliot was destroying the army that the spider queen had carefully nurtured for many years. She had spent three of her barren planets purchasing so many sand eaters from space pirates who specialize in trafficking subspecies, demi-humans, aliens, and beasts. On top of that, the spider queen gave up one of her resource planets to nurture them to the peak of their evolution, which is equivalent to a magic lord.

However, Elliot had laid waste to all of her efforts.

Three barren planets and one planet full of resources like energy and so on, all gone to waste!

[You've killed 3069 sand eaters!]

It took only several minutes for the three hundred or so of Elliot's golden swords to destroy the army of sand eaters from the inside.

After taking them all down, Elliot pretty calmly activated his authority over life to extract the essence of life from every being he just defeated. As greenish blood seeped out of their eyes, ears, and mouth and covered the thick surface the surface below them, coloring scarlet the reddish-yellow, wide and bright streams of gold, the most magnificent Freya had ever seen, charged out of their flesh and swirled towards Elliot.

[The essence of three thousand Monster Lords of one the most famous beast race known for their vitality and defense has entered your body!]

Elliot showered in the thick accumulation of the essence of life, and his strength increased by another marginal amount.

He almost felt that he was going to shed his mortal self and transcend mortality to become a celestial who makes immortals kneels!

[You've gained 920000 units of the essence of life!]

He already had around a million units. With the addition of another 900 thousand units, the total amount of essence of life present in him reached nearly two million.

'I have become more than two times stronger than when I fought the avatar of the serpentine devil. Not only have my essence of life doubled since that fight, but thanks to the special effects of having two sets of energy channels that constantly nourish my body with the essence of life and mana, my base state has reached the level of a Magic King, and they are still increasing by a few units every day. And the several pieces of equipment I am wearing have boosted my stats to the point even magic emperors would pale in comparison to my physical strength. This much strength should be enough to win against the actual body of the spider queen, a mid-ranked demonic general with two hell's paradise. I am confident about it! I can win against her in a head-on fight! I will stomp on that spider, stomp on her till she dies a dog's death."

Elliot confidently thought as he clenched his hand into a fist and felt the fabric of reality around him shrieking like a pig getting butchered. A little more strength, and he would break the space. Interestingly, he had become awfully powerful.

"My lord, you were awesome," Freya said, and when he turned to look at her, he saw many emotions in her eyes. For him, she held a lot of admiration, a little less interest, and a bit of lust.

"Well, thank you for finding me awesome." Elliot ignored her feelings for him and gave her a slight nod. She wanted to throw herself at him, but he wasn't willing to catch her as he wanted to embrace someone else.

"I will lead you to the spot which has the entrance to the flesh-eating spider lair."

"Wait here for a bit; I still need to do something here."

"And what might that be?"

"Their shell is a natural treasure," Elliot said to Freya while pointing at the sand eaters. "They are born with a cheat, but this broken defensive cheat other can also wear and take advantage of. So, of course, I am going to get them for myself."

The shells of the sand eaters were a real treasure. Although they were too big and not many beasts could wear them, the fact that they could increase the defense of any monster who wears them by 5% and let the effect stack made it impossible for Elliot to give up on them.

"But they are too big, and only beasts, the servants of demonic gods, can wear them, not humans or other races."

Elliot replied, "I will somehow find a way and make them wearable for humans and humanoids."

"My lord, weren't you in a hurry? It will take hours to dismantle them. You will be wasting a lot of your precious time doing that. How about we give on them for now and come again after finishing the spider queen and her remaining minions?" Freya proposed.

"It won't take that long. Just a minute or four, and I will be done stripping the monsters from their only piece of clothing." Elliot could make anything possible. His voice was full of confidence, and it made Freya feel that he could really do it.

What was a man who talked big, but when it came to actually do something, failed even to pick up a boulder? Nothing but a boastful monkey. Elliot wasn't one, so he immediately got to work.

Elliot stretched out his hands, and hundreds of life spheres surged out of hands, crashing on the sand. The life sphere moved about, hastily shaping into more than three thousand golden trolls.

"Go and dismantle them," Elliot ordered.

The 3069 trolls did as he said. They stripped the dead beasts naked of their only clothes, making their football-sized balls taste the cold desert winds. Elliot didn't leave a single corpse intact. In two minutes, he had stored 3069 shells in his subspace.

He didn't have a use for them now, but as his life was full of surprises and uncertainty, he was sure they would come in handy one day.

"Let's go to the next area, shall we?"

Freya, who was staring at him, nodded her head cutely like a little klutz. She had lived in this place for too long and knew the shortest way to the spider lair. By taking that way, they would reach their destination in minutes. She was the expert, and so Elliot followed her without any complaints.

"My lord, may I ask what your superpower is?" Freya asked as they crept closer to the spider lair.

"Even I am not too sure about it."

Freya was not stupid, and she realized that Elliot was kindly telling her that he didn't want to talk about his superpower.

Thus, she didn't ask about it again.

A couple of minutes went by, and finally, they came across the gates to the next area. In the center of the desert, there were many rocks. Each of them had a small but wide mouth, which acted as the entrance to the eighth area, the flesh-eating spider lair. As they came closer to it, a horrendous screech came out of entrances.

Clink, clink!

The sound of metal hitting against a solid surface echoed and reached Elliot and Freya's ears. They both realized that the enemies were coming for them. And they weren't wrong in the slightest as dozens of spiders crawled out of entrances.

The flesh-eating spiders were small in length but wide and had 38 tapered legs. Venom dripped out of their hideous mouth that had seven rings of sharp teeth. And the sin of gluttony, a maddening desire to devour flesh, be it of their kind or another, filled their eyes.

Truly hideous.

Elliot judged them as highly unpleasant to the eyes and stretched out his fingers at them. Out of his outstretched fingers, one deadly beam of energy after another shot out and crashed into the head of the venomous spiders.

It broke their outer shells, penetrated through their skulls, fried their brains, and came out of the other ends.

Each spider who suffered this fate dropped dead to the ground, blood trickling out of the fresh hole on their skull and smoke created by friction puffing out of the same hole.

As for the ones alive, some jumped on the body of their dead companion and started feasting on their flesh right there and then while the rest charged towards Elliot and Freya.
