The invasion of personal space still wasn't working for the princess. She tried to deal with it the best way that she could, but it still made her uncomfortable. Not because she minded Samuel touching her as much as he minded the odd feelings she felt when he did so.

At work it was also worse for her because she didn't want to give away the effect that he had on her when there were people that could take notice of it that she would prefer not to. She didn't have a problem with public displays of affections. She had a problem with risking others using it against her at some point in time.

She wasn't sure if Samuel didn't care about it or really understand how much that bothered her as this was the second time that he had done something like this. Once was before he knew but now that he did, she had expected him to better understand that she would prefer to avoid such situations..

Somehow, he didn't however and that was what lead to the current point where he felt the need to shower her with affection even though she had told him not to do it once. His reason for it- he thought that it would put her in a better mood.

It did slightly, but at the same time it stressed her out in a different way that he didn't seem to understand. So in order to get his attention on the matter, she had to be a bit harsher about it until she could talk with him about it later.

"Little Chickadee. I told you stop doing that right now. I expect you to stop that when I tell you to." She told in a harsher tone that she had probably meant to without looking at him. She knew if she did that the tone of her voice wouldn't match with the expression that was on her face.

"Really? Even though I'm trying to make you feel better you want me to stop?" He asked, his voice sounded like it was mixture of confused and something else that she could quite tell if it was teasing or perhaps hurt.

"At this moment in time, yes." The princess replied as she tried to go back to focusing on what she was doing. She felt him withdraw rather reluctantly with the slight immature disappoint that was very much like Samuel.

"Listen for now and we will talk about this another time." She told him.

"If you want to do something else that would be helpful instead. Memorize the names and information about the board members I'm printing out." She told him. She figured it would go over better if she gave him something else to do. There wasn't a lot of work that he could official until after the engagement and they got the time to sort everything out enough to announce what position he would be taking. That didn't mean though that he couldn't join the next board meeting.

"Why would you need me to do this?" He asked confused as he walked over to the printer to pick up the list. He noticed that there were quite a few pages with names and other information on it.

"Because, you'll be attending the next board meeting with me." Lena explained glancing over at him to see that he looked rather surprised to hear this.

"I don't hold any kind of position in the business though. My only affiliation with it is the fact that I'm going to be marrying you." He pointed out as he looked over at her.

"You mean that you don't hold any position yet." She clarified.

"It's not something that will be made official until after the engagement, but the intention is for you to hold a position within the business. You'll be working on both sides with many of these contacts anyways." or at least the princess presumed as much as she was certain that some of them also worked closely with the Vedova Nera. Big businesses liked to double dip where they could in order to make bigger profits when possible.

"Oh. Jovani hasn't brought up anything like this to me yet, but sure I can go over this. When would the next meeting be?" Samuel asked as he took his former spot on the sofa as he organized the pages to be alphabetical order.

"It will be taking place at the end of the week which is why I need you to work on memorizing them now so you'll have it down in time." The princess replied.

While Samuel was going to be focusing on that bit, there were other pieces that she needed to put together for the meeting such as whether or not she would be going ahead with the business deal with Marcus. She knew that they would want an answer about this decision sooner rather than later.

She need to figure that out still. She wanted to say no because of what she had found out about him from Jovani. On the other hand, she was worried about what would happen if she rejected him over a legal business deal. Which brought the issue down to what would be the safer answer? She would have to speak about this with her father as she knew that she wouldn't be able to come up with the right decision on her own.

She knew that if she could navigate the last few things that were annoying her this week that she would almost make it through with the engagement taking place next week. She was going to hate it with all of the people that would be attending, but knew that it was all part of the process.

The bigger concern aside from her distaste for most of the people who would enjoy be showing up to glad-hand and hope to stay on the good side of the Red Scorpions for possibility of benefits and deals later on was her concern for how Samuel would be able to navigate everything since he was still learning everything and would hardly know anyone who would be at the event.
