Lena was forced to accept the fact that she was going to have to go into the water with Samuel. He refused to let her down and was insistent that it was going to be more fun than she thought.

"Right because being bogged down by soaking wet clothes is so much fun." She replied back sarcastically. This happened to be the exact moment that the other decided to drop her into the water. She had to bit her bottom lip to stop the gasp that wanted to come out when she hit the cold sea water. If he had tossed her in there she would've probably not been able to hold back the noise that she made.

Of course, he didn't let her get wet on her own, he was right there in the water with her. The only difference was that he had brought his swimming trunks with him so he didn't have to get stuck in soaking wet clothes unlike his fiancé.

He couldn't deny that she looked far more upset about the matter than he had honestly expected her to be. Her expression mimicked the dirty look a cat might give it's owner after being forced to take a bath against it's will.

"Are you quite happy with yourself?" The princess asked as she shook her head in order to flip her wet hair out of her face. The water wasn't as miserable in terms of temperature as she thought it would be. The sun somehow managed to do a decent job warming.

"Hmm. I think that I would have been far happier if you came into the water on your own rather than making me drag you along." He replied sticking his tongue at the other as he leaned back into the water so that he could just float and enjoy the gently feeling of being carried by the ocean's waves. He never could understand how water could make one feel so light and free as though nothing was weighing them down any longer. Whatever the cause of it, he could never get enough of it.

"Of course. I made you drag me along to do something I never wanted to do the first place." The only small bit of satisfactory vengeance she was able to get on the other was splashing water in his face when he didn't expect it.

"Why don't you like the water? It doesn't seem like you have a problem swimming or anything of the sort?" Samuel asked as he shifted his position so that he could float over to where the other was. Lena ended up moving away before he could touch her however. She must have really been in a poor mood to be purposely not allowing him to touch her.

"I just don't like it. Plain and simply. I don't really understand what's enjoyable about floating around like this." She replied honestly as she kicked her feet to float further away from the other. It was hard to get her body to move in the direction that she wanted it to go with how heavy her pants and shirt were from the water. "Certainly I won't argue that it can feel refreshing on days when it's hot, but I just don't think the deficit of getting wet is out weighed by any benefits."

On the third try, Samuel finally managed to catch the princess. He quickly shifted his hands from being wrapped around her chest when he realized that her soaking wet shirt allowed for more easy of access to her breasts that were hiding underneath.

"Isn't it at all peaceful to to be able to just float here and forget everything that is going on for a while. To just be able to enjoy the sound of the ocean and the feeling of the warm sun?" He shifted their position so that he could wrap his arms around her waist and pull her against his chest so that he was supporting her.

It wasn't exactly comfortable for the other to be in this position since it took away a level of the control in her ability to move in the water, but it wasn't like she could fight it too much consider how hard it already was for her to move around in the water.

"Only when I was younger. Anymore though I just see the ocean as being unpredictable. Though water in general is that way. One moment it can be calm and serene, the next it can turn violent and there's little those who are in its' grasp can to do to fight against that sudden shift."

"Does everything with you come down to an issue of control or no control?" Samuel couldn't help but notice that there seemed to be some kind of pattern with this in the many conversations that the princess and he had over the months that they were together.

"Not everything. Just the things that are important to me." The princess replied as she leaned her head against the other's chest. She would have to put up with it for now since it was easier than trying to swim on her own.

"From this perspective it seems like control is something that's really important to you." his comment made her scoff.

"That's only because in most situations you see me in there is reason for control to be important to me. In this world, control is the difference between success and failure or life and death." She told him. She tried to lean her head back in order to look at him but was unable to do this.

"One wrong move or loss of control can cause someone to lose their life or cost it the life of another. It can also cause a whole empire to crumble if one doesn't keep the right control on the things that are important."

Silence followed this comment as Samuel processed what the other was telling her. It was also rather peaceful at the current moment in time that he also didn't feel like talking too much. He wanted to soak up as much of the current position that they were in as he possibly could.

"You do know that after what happened here, you're going to end up being in serious trouble later." He didn't meant to laugh but couldn't hold it back when the princess told him in a tone that was too calm for the threat that she was making.

He kissed the top of her head.. He supposed that it was only fair since he physically had dragged her into doing something that she had no interest in and whether it was defeat or another reason, she was currently humoring him rather than swimming back to the shore.
