Chapter 625 - Day UNKNOWN: Favour

Around two weeks passed on the training. With the promised weapon, we shifted the priorities a bit, and Druoag did his best to imitate the fighting styles of both Na'Tikki and Vazasse. In the case of Sevva, Yagg came to help, and with a lot of pleasure, happily blasted me across the arena over and over, using his powers.

I tried my best to be conscious about the moves I made, to stop making mistakes, but with more intense battles it was quite a hard task, so there were some slipups.

Even after all this time, there was still no information about my first fight, but here actually the time worked for me, as I wasn't ready to face any of the three.

I spent a lot of time with my new trainer, and I utilized it to get closer to him, make him like me, as I needed to get some information about Earth's whereabouts.

We went inside the facility, where they had spaces prepared to take some rest. Because their weather was so damn hot there, they also had showers to cool yourself with water, and we would often do that several times during the training just to not overheat. Besides a cold shower feels amazing after a long and tiring physical activity when the temperature is high.

So we did that, and then rejoined sitting on a massive bench. It had to be quite a funny view from the outside perspective, as because of his giant frame Druoag probably looked like an adult, and me, with my relatively small frame, was looking like a kid.

We started talking almost immediately, as we would then do, and I maneuvered the conversation to switch to human history, as I knew he was interested in the topic. To make him more curious I brought spartan again because their culture really resonated with him. I told him about King Leonidas and the 300 of his men, who fought the Persian army in the battle of Thermopylae.

- Maybe you should visit the Earth? - I proposed at some point. - You could learn more, as my historical knowledge is actually quite terrible.

- I've been actually thinking about it - he confessed. - Bur right now I'm training you, and I have to focus on that.

- Then maybe send somebody? Or try to contact Earth in another way? They could send you some information, and you could learn that way...

- Maybe - he agreed and nodded. - Acquiring the data this way actually sounds quite tempting.

- Then maybe... Maybe you could also find out how things are going out there? I'm really curious...

- I was wondering when you would bring that up - he admitted.

He didn't even say 'if' and just straight went to 'when'. Maybe I was that obvious with my motives, or he already knew me this well.

- I left a lot of people I care about there - I confessed. - I just want to know if they are safe. I'm just worried that High Queen did something to humans. That's it.

It was partially a lie on my side, as I already had some intel on that from Yagg himself, but I felt to get what I wanted I needed to be more dramatic about the whole thing. I just needed to know if she attempted to size the saplings, or maybe did something weird to the whole of humanity.

- I won't promise you anything, but I'll try to bring you at least some information. You cant fight properly if you are not fully focused on fighting. As your trainer, I have a duty to take care of that matter.

- Thank you. That means a lot to me. Realy...

- Just don't tell Yagg, nor Bashan. The old man would tell him if he was to find out.

- I will keep my mouth shut.

After that, we became silent for a moment, and soon the decision was made to resume training. I wanted to show him how thankful I was, and I did it in a kinda childish way, by really trying my best in sparring sessions. There was just no other way I could think of, so I did it.

The next couple of days turned kinds of strange, as I noticed that Druoag became less responsive when I tried to talk with him. Especially if Yagg was around. The distance between us kept growing each day, and we soon changed from almost friends to two people having a business-like relationship.

This made me worried if the Calludind didn't interfere in some kind of way. there was a possibility of the former champion just telling him about our conversation, which could have led to this. There was also a possibility of him learning on his own, and then pressuring Druoag to distance himself from me.

Either way, I felt like I was not gonna get what I wanted. It had a huge impact on how I felt, but there was not much I could do, so I tried just to focus on training, and look forward to new possibilities that could show up along my way.

I already knew that having a large number of fans could be one of them. Other aliens already showed me that they could reach me behind Yagg's back, and that was a possibility for me to get some information from the earth, but first I needed to accumulate a crowd like that.

So just like that, I became obsessed with the training to reach for the title and get myself in the best possible condition to get some good aliens on my side and support me.

I just needed to know what was going on on my home planet. I just had to... All the people I carried about were there. My mother, Tihana, Will, Ki'rai, and the rest of my friends. And the High Queen knew about them all. To hell, she probably knew my favorite actors, actresses, and bands. She searched my mind looking for intel on The Great One and didn't leave a stone unturned, so there was plenty to worry about....
