Chapter 96 - Unwrapping Christmas cards and gifts (3)

“Okay.” Zhong Yuhuan nodded helplessly.

The male lead and the villain were, indeed, different. All the boys their age were entering into adolescent, and all they wanted to do was chase after girls. But the two of them hadn’t even thought about it.

Li Jinyuan opened up another Christmas card. These cards all read more or less the same.

Slowly, Li Jinyuan and Huo Chengming had it figured out. The reason that Zhong Yuhuan didn’t get a lot of gifts was because all these individuals had other intentions, which was why they’ve decided to first write their feelings into the cards.

After all the cards had been opened, there were four gifts left.

All the boxes were quite small in size.

One was a photo frame with a picture inside of it, one was a hair pin, one was a lipstick, and the last one was a pretty brooch.

The brooch looked to be the most expensive of it all. There were pearls on it, and all the pearls were nicely shaped with same sizes. These pearls surrounded a pink crystal.

Even Zhong Yuhuan was surprised after she saw it, “Who is that from?”

Having said that, she picked up the wrapping paper to look at the name on it, “Hah? This is from Langdon?”

“Who’s Langdon?” asked Li Jinyuan. He felt that this was the question he had asked the most all day long, “What was this?”

“Hmm, he was the boy that you saw the last time you came.” As she was saying it, she picked up the box and carefully closed it up and said, “I will give this back to him when I return to school. This looks quite valuable.”

Li Jinyuan frowned quickly.

He recalled how Langdon looked like – blond hair, green eyes, quite handsome even by Asian standards.

Li Jinyuan wasn’t very happy about it.

Ever since he entered the welfare service, he had no more relatives. Then there was Zhong Yuhuan. Well, Huo Chengming was sort of one but, naturally, Huo Chengming didn’t need him to worry about him. So just Zhong Yuhuan.

She was pretty and fragile. Even if she just scratched herself a little, he’d feel a heart-wrenching pain. The years that he had been with her, what he thought about the most was how to become so strong and powerful that he could put her up in an ivory tower and take care of her.

But before he was quite ready to take care of her, some pig came out of nowhere and desired her.

Huo Chengming was even more unhappy. He hadn’t even met this Langdon yet. He didn’t even know what this pig looked like.

“I won’t be dating anyone anytime soon. Really? You two can stop worrying about me,” said Zhong Yuhuan as she sighed to herself.

They had certainly changed since they had been apart from each other.

Before this, she felt like she was an old mother hen who was always worried about her chicks.

Since they had been part, now they had become the fathers that worried about her.

As she was talking, she yawned sluggishly and said, “Alright, I am going to bathe and go to bed. You guys can clean up here and bring the Christmas cards and gifts into my room. Thanks!”

“Mmm,” said Li Jinyuan as his lips curved upward again.

Judging from her reaction, none of the gifts received any special attention from her.

Li Jinyuan and Huo Chengming cleaned up the room.

Li Jinyuan carried his own gifts back to his room; those were never the purpose anyway.

Huo Chengming’s room returned to its usual quietness.

Huo Chengming squatted down, pulled the disc out from under his bed, and casually tossed it inside a book.

As soon as he went back to school, the first thing he was going to do was beat up the person who gave him this gift.
