Brianna woke up in Quentin's embrace.

She gazed at his handsome profile as images of the last three days flashed in her mind.

Thursday was full of unexpected things, like butterflies in her stomach while she accepted the concept of her dating Quentin. That afternoon they were at the Anderson family villa, but it didn't matter where they were because they danced and talked and kissed (a lot) and everyone else faded in the background, like it's just the two of them.

She spent her Friday morning with Liz, Mia, and Rina in the spa, and even though she enjoyed pampering with her girlfriends, she couldn't wait to see Quentin again. Luckily, she didn't wait long because Max, Hunter, and Quentin joined them for lunch after which she didn't separate from Quentin.

They walked through the city while holding hands, went to the aquarium, had a dinner cruise which provided a breathtaking view of the sunset, shared a meal over the interactive cabaret experience and she loved every minute of it. But she liked the most when they came to his place and spent the nights together. Quentin is amazing.

And here she is now, in his embrace. Her hand is resting on his perfectly firm pecs and she is inhaling his masculine scent which makes her slightly dizzy.

A deep sigh escaped her lips at the thought that she will return to New York today. They don't have much time left.

"Good morning…", Quentin mumbled while tightening his hold on Brianna.

She smiled at the sound of his husky voice. "Good morning."

"What's the time?", he asked with a slight frown, without opening his eyes.

"Close to eight."

"Why don't you sleep longer?", Quentin suggested.

"We should go to Liz's place for breakfast.", Bri reminded him of their plan.

Quentin opened his eyes and looked at Brianna with a pout. "Do we have to?"

Brianna was not sure how to answer. Do they have to? Well, no, but… "I'm heading back today, and it would be good to spend some time with Liz and Mia. You will not be bored, Max and Hunter will be there."

"You can talk to your girlfriends on the phone or via video chat, and this…", he turned his body to face her and tightened his hold. "This can't be done online."

Brianna giggled and ran her hands over the firm muscles of his back. He is right, this can't be done online. "What do you suggest?"

"We stay in bed until you need to leave."

Brianna's eyebrow arched. "Sleeping?"

Quentin's lips curved into a mischievous smile. "We can do whatever you wish."

Brianna returned his smile and got her phone. She sent a quick text to Liz and Mia that they will not join them for breakfast. After keeping her phone on the side table, Brianna snuggled closer to Quentin who let out a satisfying hum while wrapping his arms around her. There is nothing better than Brianna's body pressing on his.

Quentin ran his fingers through her fiery red hair. "When is your flight?"

"I need to be at the airport by four in the afternoon."

Quentin kissed her forehead. "I am going to miss you."

"Don't be sappy…", Brianna grumbled, but she can't deny the fact that she will miss him as well.

He does not want to be clingy, but the last few days with Bri are too good, and he is willing to do whatever he can to prolong it. "Can't you stay longer?"

Brianna shook her head. "No matter how much I stay, it will not be long enough. Besides, I have things to do."

"Like what?"

Brianna wanted to tell him that she will be selling her (and Mia's) things from the apartment since their lease ends at the end of the month, but that would mean that she needs to talk about San Francisco and her family and the bank and… she didn't want to spoil these last few hours they have left. She will tell him over the phone, later.

"Quentin?"

"Yes?"

"How about we enjoy our time until I need to return to reality? We can talk about anything else later. I unblocked your number."

Quentin agreed with Brianna and he was happy that she said how they will talk 'later'. 'Later' is good. He will take it. And he likes that she said how things outside of this apartment are 'a reality' because four days ago they met again and had dinner and she spent the night at his place and since then, he feels like he is living a dream. A beautiful dream where his fiery Goddess is by his side.

Brianna heard Quentin hum in agreement. She moved and got on top of Quentin, straddling him.

Quentin smiled at the sight of her perfect body and his gaze deepened when he felt Brianna grind against his hard shaft. Two deep breaths later, he gripped her hips and rolled them over, positioning himself on the top.

His hand moved between them and his finger slid between her soaked folds and inside her heat effortlessly.

Quentin let out a low growl. "You are ready…"

Brianna gasped when she felt him crook his finger inside her. "You have that effect on me…"

Her legs came together at the ankles around him and she enjoyed the feeling of Quentin inside her, and his body pressing on her, and the way he kissed her… Yes, this is what she wanted, and anything else will come later. Much later.

~ Seattle, the Continental Views building ~

9:46 AM

In Liz's apartment…

Hunter, Mia, Max, and Liz are in the living area, sipping juice and coffee while munching on a variety of pastries that Olivia brought previously.

Olivia didn't linger. She brought breakfast, confirmed that there is no mess that requires clean up, and left after declining Liz's offer to join them for breakfast; she does not want to be the fifth wheel.

Back to the present…

"It seems that Bri and Quentin are doing great. But I miss that I will not see her before she leaves.", Mia said with a smile.

"I'm sure that she will miss us as well.", Liz said while leaning into Max's embrace.

"What's the latest on Zi?", Hunter asked.

"She is out on bail.", Max said. "Nathan is talking with lawyers about filing charges."

"You don't sound optimistic.", Mia noticed.

Max gave a small nod. "The lawyers believe that they will plead insanity."

Mia frowned. "For both cases? Once it can happen, but she attempted to harm Liz two times. And the second time was definitely planned."

"She will not walk away free.", Liz responded. "She will be locked up in a mental institution."

McKenzie is Hunter's friend, but she tried harming Liz and Max ended up hurt in the process. He believes that she should be punished. "Her parents will not let her suffer grievances. She will end up in a high-end place that looks like a resort."

Liz shrugged. "As long as she does not get out, it does not matter where she is. Her biggest punishment will be that she can't get close to Max."

"You forgive people easily.", Mia grumbled.

Liz would not call it forgiving. She explained: "I don't approve of her methods, but I somewhat understand why she did it. McKenzie spent years feeding her illusion that Max will end up with her. For her, I am an impostor. She was forcefully awakened and not willing to face reality. In her mind, as long as I am out of the picture, things will go back to how they were. Other than being locked up, everyone at the party saw her and the videos are posted online. She is ousted from society and everyone knows what she did."

Mia opened her mouth and closed it, unsure how to answer this. Liz is right, but that does not change the fact that McKenzie almost killed her. Twice.

Max kissed Liz's temple. "I will make sure McKenzie stays there and if they make any attempt to get her out, they will lose their business."

"Does dad know about it?", Hunter asked suspiciously. He knows that the Bolton family and Andersons are friends for a long time.

Max confirmed. "Nathan said that he will personally talk to Mr. Bolton to inform him about this condition. We will not pursue jail time if they agree for McKenzie to stay institutionalized. If they don't agree, they will lose their business and as a consequence their money and connections, which means that McKenzie will end up in jail."

Liz sighed and leaned into Max's embrace. She thought about how it's sad that many families, like Bolton family are enjoying the benefits of their connections only due to their wealth. When money is gone, people will abandon them. She remembered how Max said that he has only a few people he trusts. Those are people who will stay by his side if he ever loses his position. And she is happy that he mentioned her as part of that group.

Max noticed that Liz's eyes are locked on him and she is in a daze.

"What are you thinking?"

"I admire you.", Liz responded dreamily.

Max's eyebrows shoot up, and his expression showed her that he wants to hear more.

Liz explained: "You are not forcing yourself to be polite to anyone. You know who your friends are, and you are maintaining good relationships only with them."

Max smiled smugly. "That is the privilege when you are on the top." His eyes turned gentle and he caressed her cheek. "People suck up to someone when they need something. And the only person I need something from is you."

Liz smiled. "What do you need from me?"

"You."

Liz's smile widened. "Which part?"

Max inched closer and his hold on her tightened. "All of you."

"That is a lot, Mr. Anderson.", Liz breathed.

"Mhm… for me, that is everything, Miss Williams…", he murmured in her lips before claiming them with his.

Mia chewed on the pastry and her eyes moved from Liz and Max who are making out to Hunter. Hunter is eating and completely ignoring the fact that the situation on the sofa is heating up. And they are right here!

"They are ignoring us…", Mia whispered to Hunter.

"Yup.", Hunter responded without looking at the sofa.

Mia nudged him. "We should leave."

Hunter pointed at the food on the table, indicating that it's too early to leave. There is so much food left! But he saw that Mia is uncomfortable. He rolled his eyes and looked at Max and Liz. "Oy! We are still here!"

Max broke the kiss and got up from the sofa with Liz in his arms.

"Right… Make yourself at home…", Max told Hunter without breaking eye contact with Liz.

Hunter showed a satisfied smile to Mia and focused on the food.

Mia put the blueberry muffin in her mouth and chewed absentmindedly while Max carried Liz to the bedroom and closed the door behind them. They completely ignored them. Are they supposed to sit here and eat while knowing what is going on in that bedroom?

"How about we pack this food and go to our place?", Mia suggested.

Hunter paused his chewing and thought about Mia's question. Here, he can ignore Max and Liz, they are in a different room. But, can he ignore all the traps in their apartment? It's a tough decision...
