Chapter 256: Squat compared to what I have

What Lu Chen said made all the other board members hate him. How could he be so arrogant against them?

Cao Wei snorts, "You can't fire me. I have 20% of the shares in this company." That was the reason Cao Wei could be so vain towards the other board members.

Originally, Cao Wei had only 10%. However, with the company going down the drain, he obtained an extra 10%.

"And how can you make such a decision without consulting the other board members?! Do you think you're the only person that has the final say in this?!" Cao Wei wants the other board member's hand in this.

And they agreed with what Cao Wei said. What Lu Chen is doing is undermining their strength. Just because Lu Chen was the CEO, does he think he could do whatever he wants?

'What are you going to do now, brat?' The combined amount with the board members, the amount of shares they have is around a third. It should be more than enough to deal with Lu Chen.

Or so he thought. Lu Chen laughs, "Heh, Of course, I have the power to make choices like this. So what if you have 20% of the shares. I have more than two-thirds of the company." After buying up more stocks of other companies, Lu Chen told Elder Wu to continue to buy more shares from Arcs.

"....You have two-thirds of the shares?" Cao Wei didn't expect Lu Chen to have so much. He thought nobody would buy so much of their shares so quickly. Especially not two-thirds.

"So what if you guys have a third combined? That means squat compared to how much I have." Lu Chen turns to Duan Huiling, "Go get security and have them escort this elderly man out of the building."

With that, Duan Huiling quickly calls the security over. But Cao Wei resisted. The security guards had no choice but to grab Cao Wei on both sides, dragging him away.

"You guys will regret this! You need me! Hands off! I can walk away by myself!" Cao Wei continued to curse out as he left the room.

However, with him gone, Lu Chen got to work.

'So that's why this company went downhill so badly.' Just from a glance, Lu Chen could tell what the problem was.

He asks Duan Huiling, "Are there any other members that aren't here for the meeting?" Despite the board members leaving the company, there shouldn't be so many gone this soon.

Duan Huiling shakes her head, "No, there are others. It's just that..." She didn't continue. She didn't want to say the reason was that they didn't think the board meeting was necessary.

"I see." Lu Chen didn't need her to say anything else. He tells her, "Then call all of them and tell them that they're fired. They don't need to come  back here anymore."

He didn't need the reason. The moment Duan Huiling said there were others not here, he was going to fire them.

"Aren't you going too far?" One of the board members couldn't stand it as he spoke up.

"How am I going too far?"

"Do you know how many board members you are firing? It'll ruin our company. Kicking out Mr.Cao was a huge mistake too. How could you kick him out like that without any regard to seniority?"

This board member was a follower of Cao Wei. Seeing how Cao Wei was taken away like that was unsightly. However, he couldn't do a thing about it since Lu Chen had 70% of the shares.

With Lu Chen firing the missing board members, it was the last straw. Some of the members missing are good friends with him.

When Lu Chen hears that, he starts laughing. The other board members were confused as to why he was laughing.

"What's so funny?! Do you think this is a joke!" Hearing his condescending laughter made that board member pissed off.

"Nothing, nothing. I understand so much more about why this company is pathetic. The people in it are nothing more than a bunch of fools."

Now it was time for the other members to be offended. They couldn't stand being called fools by a child. However, Lu Chen ignores their glares as he continues,

"What's with your glares? How can I not call you guys fools when you guys have no sense of duty or idea on running the company? Do you think seniority matters?"
