Chapter 163 [Bonus Chapter] A Guy Who Recognized Her

Day Eighteen…

Nathan contemplated whether to follow them or not. It seemed that Abigail was chasing after someone. His expression darkened and he couldn't stay still.

In the end, Nathan also ran in that direction to follow and chase after them. He didn't know what was going on. She was supposed to go to the comfort room but she ended up running away.

In Nathan's mind, he thought Abigail was kind of suspicious. However, part of him was worrying about her.

The bodyguards also panicked when their Master suddenly took action. Aiden reminded Nathan not to do anything but he didn't listen.

Nathan's guards didn't waste time as they followed their master. They had to protect him no matter what. And running like that was too reckless.

Some people in the airport were puzzled as to why several men in black were running and chasing someone. Did an emergency happen inside the airport? Was it related to a VIP person?

Meanwhile, Jack tried to lose Abigail. "Fuck! Why is she chasing after me?" He was panting already. He made sure to blend in with the crowd to lose Abigail.

Abigail kept searching for the man in a leather jacket. Unknown to her, Jack already removed his jacket and his cap. He sat down on one of the benches. He picked a newspaper and pretended to be reading the news. But his eyes took a peek at Abigail.

The two bodyguards were also panting when Abigail finally stopped. Her eyes roamed around her surroundings. She knew it. That guy was a professional. He managed to conceal his presence from Abigail's sharp eyes.

"Miss Scarlett, why did you run away?" One bodyguard asked her, puzzled.

"I'm trying to catch a suspicious person lurking around your Master. I think he has been following us from Country F," Abigail informed him. She still couldn't believe that these guards were not able to notice that man.

"You haven't caught the culprit, right? You should go and find him. He might be the person who wants to hurt your master!"

Hearing her commanding tone, the two bodyguards obediently nodded their heads as they tried to search the area. Abigail also moved away from them to widen the scope of their search.

As Abigail continued to roam around the airport, she bumped into someone who recognized her. Abigail made a mistake because her mind was so focused on catching that man.

She had forgotten she was already in Country M. She didn't wear any disguise. She didn't use a mask to cover her face. With those blunders on her side, Someone in the airport recognized her.

Abigail was still searching for Jack when a man grabbed her shoulder, turning her body around to face him.

"Abigail, is that you?" There was a shocked expression on the man's handsome face as he looked at her.

Abigail hit his arm, removing it from her shoulder. Then she raised her head, gazing at him in confusion. She didn't know him at all. Who was this man?

Abigail sized him up from top to bottom and vice versa. The man didn't look like an ordinary person. He was also wearing a suit, very prim and proper.

He removed his sunglasses and slid it to his suit pocket. His brown eyes and brown hair stood out, catching the attention of other women. He looked like a matinee idol, very hot and gorgeous.

But for Abigail, his beauty couldn't win against Nathan. 'Eh, why did I suddenly think about the devil? I tend to compare handsome men to Nathan. And I have to admit, Nathan is still the one on the top of the ladder in my list.'

"Who are you? Do you know me?" Abigail asked him with intrigue. She wondered if she was her rumored boyfriend. Perhaps, her childhood sweetheart?

If he was the man connected to the real Abigail, then she had to talk to him. Was he her secret lover?

Meanwhile, the man was stunned for a moment because Abigail failed to recognize him. She looked like she didn't know him at all. 'Don't tell me… she lost her memory? She can't remember me?'

"I have been searching for you for the past few weeks…" the man said, still assessing Abigail's reaction.

Abigail was about to say another word when suddenly she heard Aiden's voice, calling her from the back.

"Abigail!!!" Aiden was waving at her as he was running in her direction.

'Damn! Wrong timing! If this man is the lover of the real Abigail, Aiden and Nathan must not see him!' She thought to herself, thinking about the pros and cons.

Ignoring Aiden's call, Abigail immediately grabbed the man's hand and dragged him with her.

"Let's run!" Abigail blurted out in urgency. The man just nodded his head and obeyed Abigail.

"Hey wait!!! ABI!!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Aiden screamed to stop her but Abigail didn't listen. She continued running with the guy. She wanted to hide from Aiden.

After a few minutes of running, Abigail found a perfect hiding spot where she and the man could talk privately. When she stopped, she noticed the man who was staring at her intently. There was a look of disbelief in his eyes but at the same time, he felt relieved to finally see her.

"Again… who are you? Do you know me? What is your relationship with me?" Abigail asked the man with a serious expression on her face.

The man just let out a soft chuckle and pulled her into a hug. "I knew it. It's you, Abigail. I couldn't be wrong!"

Abigail pushed him away from her body. She didn't feel like hugging a stranger. It was just making her uncomfortable. Besides, she didn't know his identity yet.

"I'm sorry about that. I'm just happy to see you. But I can't believe that you can't remember me." The man immediately apologized.

"Yeah, I got selective amnesia. I couldn't remember everyone when I woke up," Abigail lied.

The man felt saddened after hearing that. "Yeah… I understand. After what happened to you, I think it's just natural to get amnesia."

"By the way, I'm Richard Chang… I'm your–" the man made a pause, teasing her with suspense. He could tell how curious Abigail was to know his identity.

On the other hand, Aiden failed to follow Abigail. The two disappeared from his sight. It did not take long when Nathan finally caught up with them.

"Where is Abigail?" Nathan asked Aiden. He turned from left to right but he didn't see any sign of Abigail.

"Sigh. I lost them," Aiden replied apologetically.

"Them? What do you mean by 'them'? She is not alone? She has company?" Nathan bombarded Aiden with questions.

Aiden bobbed his head frantically. "I saw her grabbing the hand of a handsome guy," Aiden mumbled.

He immediately covered his mouth using his right hand when he realized his mistake. Abigail wanted to win Nathan's heart. He promised to help her. So Aiden was not supposed to tell Nathan that Abigail held another guy's hand. It was just a slip of the tongue.

Meanwhile, Nathan already had a dark aura surrounding him. Abigail was creating another trouble.

"FIND. THEM!" Nathan ordered all his men who followed him. His angry voice could send shivers down their spines.

"Yes, Master!" The bodyguards answered in unison.
