Chapter 73 [Bonus Chapter] The S*X Video

Day Six…

~~*****~~

Chef Min blinked several times, trying to absorb Nathan's words. Did he hear it right? Nathan mentioned his name, not Abigail's name?

The maids and other cooks were also stupefied when they heard the announcement. Chef Min had been serving Nathan for the past twenty-five years. How could he fire him just like that? And for what reason?

"M-Master? Is there a misunderstanding here? Chef Min is not the one you are kicking out right?" It was the head maid who broke the silence. She was very close to Chef Min. Just like Chef Min, she was serving Nathan's family for a long time. She started working there thirty years ago.

Nathan's expression grew hard. He had no choice. He was just fulfilling his words. Besides, Chef Min did something selfishly. He needed to punish him for his actions.

"You heard it right. There is no misunderstanding. I am firing Chef Min. Starting today, he will no longer work here," Nathan said firmly.

"M-Master… why? Why are you doing this to me? What have I done? I'm always loyal to you and Madam Monica." Chef Min finally found his voice to speak up. He was still shaken by this sudden announcement. What went wrong? Abigail should be the one to leave, not him!

"Chef Min, you can't fool everyone. Don't you dare bring up the word loyalty. If you were truly loyal, you wouldn't do something that might harm me. You framed Abigail, putting the blame on her. But you were the one who lied to her and to me."

Everyone gasped when they heard that. The assistant cooks exchanged glances with one another, wondering who spilled the beans. Someone among them betrayed their chef.

"Master, who said that? They are the ones trying to frame me. Please believe me, Master. I didn't do it!" In the end, Chef Min chose to deny it. He would never admit to his mistake.

"Master, please don't do this. Kick her out! She is poisoning your mind!" Chef Min pointed his finger at Abigail. He looked at her with his bloodshot eyes. If he was just holding a knife, he had the urge to cut her into tiny pieces.

"I don't have time for this. Just leave. I will just call the finance to compute your salary and other compensation. They will send it to you within the day. But for now, I don't want to see you here in the house."

"Master! Please! Don't do this!" Chef Min dropped to his knees, begging in front of Nathan.

"You didn't even admit your wrongdoings. You chose to lie until the end. I can't let you stay here." Nathan turned around, ignoring Chef Min.

Others felt sorry for Chef Min. They also thought it was so unfair to fire him. Angry gazes were now directed to Abigail. This happened because of her. They wondered what she did for their Master Nathan to listen to her.

Chef Min had been part of the family for twenty-five years! Abigail was just a stranger. But Nathan's action was in favor of her. They couldn't accept this decision.

'What a vixen?!'

'A cunning woman!'

'She is a witch, trying to bewitch our master!'

'This will never happen if Lady Monica is still here.'

'We should ask Lady Veronica for help!'

Everyone started cursing Abigail. They were blaming her. But Abigail didn't care if many people hated her as long as she had one person whom she could trust in that mansion. It was Butler Li.

"Butler Li, Abigail, come with me." Nathan motioned the two to follow him.

When the three disappeared, Chef Min approached Little Ethan. "Little young master, please help me. I didn't do anything wrong."

Ethan surveyed Chef Min for a moment before he spoke up. "Uncle Min, I'm sorry. But my Dad's decision is final. I can't change his mind."

Chef Min felt like his world just fell apart. He had never imagined that a day like this would come. He thought he would serve the Sparks Family until the day he would die.

"But if you really want to stay, Uncle Min… I think you should ask Miss Abi for her forgiveness. Apologize to her sincerely and ask her to change my Dad's decision." Little Ethan suggested to the old man crying desperately before his eyes.

Chef Min was not able to utter a word. His pride wouldn't let him do that. 'Apologize to that woman? No way! I would rather seek help from Lady Veronica!'

Ethan could tell from Chef Min's expression that he didn't want the idea of apologizing to Abigail. The young boy just took a deep sigh and shrugged his shoulders. If he didn't want to do it, then fine! It was his choice.

"I'm going to the garden to do a morning walk. Just call me if Dad and Miss Abi are done talking. We will eat breakfast together," Ethan told his nanny before he walked away.

Meanwhile, Nathan, Abigail, and Butler Li reached the balcony. No one was around so he could finally confront them about the Aphrodisiac drug.

"Explain this to me. Why do you have this with you?" Nathan raised the pill in his hand, showing it to Abigail.

Abigail's eyes widened and she turned to Butler Li, giving him a questioning gaze. 'How did Nathan find out?'

Butler Li also glanced at Abigail, requesting her to speak up on his behalf. He was afraid that he would be the next one to be kicked out of the mansion if Abigail would not cover for him.

"Butler Li, I will only ask you this once. Be honest. Were you the one who spiked Nathan's drink last night?" Abigail asked Butler Li with an eyebrow raised.

"Eh? Of course not! I will never do that! I swear, I didn't do it." Butler Li promptly responded, shaking his head from left to right vigorously.

After receiving Butler Li's answer, Abigail turned to Nathan, looking straight into his eyes. "That drug is not intended for you…"

"Then for whom?" Nathan asked, frowning.

"For the guard," Abigail responded nonchalantly. "I already confessed last night. I blackmailed the assistant cook for her to tell you the truth. This is the only method I could think of to clear my name…"

Nathan opened his mouth only to close it again. He remembered it… the sex video on her phone.
